It's literally one light injury away for Thuram or Lautaro, one rolled ankle or pulled muscle.
Better to give the kid a minute here and there instead of throwing him to the wolves when shit hits the fan like we've done with reserves in recent seasons.

We gonna use Mhkitaryan/Klaassen as the support striker in the case we lack another striker.

Minutes on the pitch won't make player play better. He needs to train first with the team. And it's not a thing you do in one week or two, specially with a young player with zero experience in senior level. I'm not saying he couldn't pull that off (since I've never seen the kid) but my strong hunch is he wouldn't pull that off.

I can see your logic but do you think we are training with Mhki/Klassen in those roles? Mhki is too busy playing majority of minutes in his actual role, Klassen played less than an hour of football so far and doesn't speak the language. Inzaghi is a very risk-avoidant type, that's too much of a dice roll for him.
Obviously I agree that this kid is likely not good enough and the chance of him doing a good job is in single digits, but if he is training with the team then he is an asset, utilize him as soon as possible to see what he's got. If he fails then so be it, release him to primavera and dedicate a midfielder full time into the striker role until Arna is back.

We were also sure we would never need Padelli/Radu. We never learn.

Sarriously, this match is not going to be a walk in the park. Inter needs to concentrate and get the win and not worry about flight itineraries. Haven't paid any attention to Bologna this season, but they're one those squads that can bite you in the ass if you have lapses. Any word on Thuram's status?
