Why would it be ok to bring Pinamonti on for 3 minutes and not Eriksen? We are paying Eriksen millions. If the coach wants to bring him on for 3 minutes to run down the clock, then thats what we should do. What has Eriksen done in our shirt to deserve any other treatment?

There should be no humiliation to play for 3 minutes. It should be an honour. And even if its not an honour for Eriksen, its his professional duty. I see nothing wrong with this. He is just another bench player, and thats how we are treating him.

Eriksen has proven himself in one of the best football leagues in the world as one of the best players in it while he was at Tottenham. Pinamonti hasn't proven a g-ddamn thing by comparison. Pinamonti would have no basis to gripe over getting scraps for playing time. For a proven high level player like Eriksen, when you factor in the context of the manager not favoring him at all, it's an insult.

Comentator on Arenasport said that player like Eriksen doesn't deserve to be treated like this and that is obvious that Cunte wants Eriksen out,but luckily for Eriksen there are many european TOP CLUBS that will gladly take him. We are not top club. Not with this idiot of coach. No way.

Inter fans showing their disapproval on Conte's treatment towards Eriksen in Match Centre. Again not a fan of Eriksen. I'm also in favour of keeping Conte till the end of the season. But what Conte did tonight was un-sportsmanlike. Totally childish.

Let's hope these "top clubs" will offer more than a pure loan or 10-15m for him.

Maybe there's some contract clause that's says he must play certain number of games... And maybe his agent has brought it up and now they are technically obligated to play him minimum 6 games in every 10 matches...

Idk Eriksen is the least of our concerns, both for good and bad

What is this shit. You have 6 Inter players marking the nearest 2 Bologna players. (3 guys on a 38 year old Palacio... :palm:)

Then further back you have a Bologna overload with 3 players wrapping around Gagliardini by himself. In fact this set piece was barely just cleared for a corner by Gagliardini.. But all they needed was a better ball to the far post and that's a goal. Incredible.

All football players get paid millions, your post is garbage mate. You keep making excuses for this coach yet he plays garbage players and uses garbage tactics and you still praise him. The proof is in the pudding, 2nd place in both the league and EL, knocked out of the CL and on the brink this year as well plays trash football and gets bailed out by 10 to 20 mins of individual talent and the rest of the 60 mins he is shouting all over the field as every attack is a potential goal.

Run Down clock...as if coaches dont know these subs dont make sense regardless. He had Ranocchia and Young as well on the bench. but yah lets use the guy we dont want for 1 min.

Go watch the Tottenham documentary on Amazon. It's a documentary about Tottenham's last season. Pochettino getting sacked, hiring Mou and of course what happened with Eriksen. As soon as Mou takes charge at nearly every press conference the press keep asking Mou about Erikssen and one of his answers was "for the player to get sold there needs to be offers".

Facts:
1- Erikssen wasn't starting at Tottenham under Mou and wasn't a sure starter under Pochettino at the end of his tenure there
2- the only concrete offer for Erikssen was from Inter

Erikssen doesn't seem motivated as of late not only at Inter but also at Tottenham and for whatever reason Conte can't seem to be able to motivate him.

So please stop putting the blame entirely on Conte. If anything the blame should be shared. Erikssen needs to find himself again.

However, Erikssen was always one of my favorite players and I was really happy to see him join Inter. It pains me to see him getting subbed in at 90th minute. I hope Conte and him could find a solution soon so we could enjoy the Erikssen of 3-4 years ago once again.

Well, the coach is the one doing the substitutions so yes, Conte should be blamed of how he is treating Eriksen. Ok, he does not like Eriksen, then do not use him at all. Instead, he is letting him to "play" for 3 minutes. Probably did not even touch the ball.

This. No one complains about Eriksen not starting games or not having a role in the squad. The coach believes the player isn't suited to his tactics and it's his right to do so. As long as he wins games no one can complain about it. We don't have this in this case. We have a coach humiliating a player and treating him as if he's a veteran defender who's coming in to defend a lead or a primavera kid. What we were expecting from Conte was acting like a decent human being and treating his players with the respect they deserve. I guess it was too much to ask that from a gobbo.

None of us know what is being said in the background....but from Eriksen comments when on international duty it seems he all but gave up on his time at inter already. He doesn’t seem like he is up to fight for his place and therefore in my opinion he doesn’t deserve a spot in the line up.

The best players adapt to the team and not the other way around. It doesn’t seem he wants to commit to what cote is asking.

Now from a club point of view if inter gave him some assurances of play before signing him and they haven’t been met then that’s on the club.

But if I’m a player and I truly wanted to sign for inter you would do anything to make sure your playing each week.

Just my opinion.

- - - Updated - - -

Anyway enough about that...the good of the team is the most important thing especially in this last week and next where we needed to pick up points in the league and have moved up the table - 👍 and win in a do or die situation in the Champs League - 👍.

I have had my reservations about conte from beginning being juve great and all but this season is ours for the taking in the league and for him to prove himself in the champs league. A good run from here could see us satisfy both targets and he does that I’ll praise him like he deserves. I’m behind him for the good of inter and want inter to win no matter what.

I have similar optinion. As long as the team is united and support the coach i don't care about particular individuals. Even former star like Eriksen. If he cannot integrete in the team or system, he is free to go. I have no regrets about it.

Does anyone think it could be possible that Eriksen has a contract clause that expects him to play a minimum amount of games, linked to a huge compensation or even the option to rescind a contract?

Despite Conte's character I actually do really doubt he's THAT petty towards the management for buying Eriksen. Or at least, it's hard to imagine why he would do it - especially if he claims he doesn't "look at players above their neck".

Knowing Conte, it seems much more likely for a man like him to just leave Eriksen permanently on the bench or not even call him up to the games. That's why I wonder if something else is causing this.

Anyway...

I am afraid I disagree with the popular opinion here. Whenever I see Eriksen play for Inter, even when he gets a start, he looks like he is coasting. He is not putting the kind of effort he used to put when he was in form at Spurs. I have a serious issue with that. Inter are a historic club, certainly the biggest club in Eriksen's career so far. This kind of attitude to me shows disrespect to the Inter colours.

I think Eriksen has got more than enough chances at Inter, he has let himself down. I can understand his lack of form considering his final year at Spurs, but his lack of effort is inexcusable. I have more than enough patience for someone like Sanchez, another great player who had been out of form for a while, coz he fights for every ball like his life depends on it. Great attitude, he gives his 100%. If Conte gives this treatment to Sanchez, I would have the same reaction as you. Eriksen with his "I couldn't care less" attitude probably needs some of this shock therapy.

I don't think Conte is doing this to prove a point to Marotta anymore, I suspect Marotta & Conte are more in sync now than what some people assume. I think Conte is doing this to prove a point only to Eriksen. We don't know what point yet, whether its to convince Eriksen to leave or to shock him into giving a fuck. Whatever it is, Eriksen has not earned my sympathy for reasons mentioned above.

"Winning is not important, it is the only thing that matters. This one sentence sums Juventus’ values.

And as an Interista, thinking that my club is now pursuing this philosophy makes me feel dirty. Sad. Like Antonio Conte is sitting on my chest.

Three years ago, months before the foundation of Inter Media House, Inter.it published a piece to wish Happy Birthday to our club. This piece featured the three values that guide our club since its foundation in 1908: unity, integrity, passion. Those three values were briefly explained. Integrity had the shortest explanation, but hidden a direct response to the sentence I choose as opening for this article.

We act with integrity: honesty and correctness guide us. It is not just about winning, it is about how you win.

This is Inter. From 1908 until today. Today our general and coach violated what Inter is. With three minutes to go, Antonio Conte called in Christian Eriksen. The Dane walked into the pitch, just to walk off, alone, a few minutes later. While his teammates were celebrating three important points.

In the post game interview, Conte said that he has a good relationship with Eriksen and that everything he does is for Inter’s sake.

Well, Antonio. If this is how you intend to take Inter on top of Serie A, please stop.

Essere interista, as Curva Nord wrote in May 2019, means respect Inter’s history, its sporting tradition, its people, the city that it represents with honor."

I'm not saying you have to agree with this stance, but this shows why many fans are mad about the way this is happening. Even people who care only about wins, get left with a bitter taste in their mouth and question for the necessity.

Personally I'd still like to think - as mentioned in my post above - that it has to do with contract clauses. But my guess is as good/bad as any one's.

But this post could shed some light on the discussion.
