"Winning is not important, it is the only thing that matters. This one sentence sums Juventus’ values.

And as an Interista, thinking that my club is now pursuing this philosophy makes me feel dirty. Sad. Like Antonio Conte is sitting on my chest.

Three years ago, months before the foundation of Inter Media House, Inter.it published a piece to wish Happy Birthday to our club. This piece featured the three values that guide our club since its foundation in 1908: unity, integrity, passion. Those three values were briefly explained. Integrity had the shortest explanation, but hidden a direct response to the sentence I choose as opening for this article.

We act with integrity: honesty and correctness guide us. It is not just about winning, it is about how you win.

This is Inter. From 1908 until today. Today our general and coach violated what Inter is. With three minutes to go, Antonio Conte called in Christian Eriksen. The Dane walked into the pitch, just to walk off, alone, a few minutes later. While his teammates were celebrating three important points.

In the post game interview, Conte said that he has a good relationship with Eriksen and that everything he does is for Inter’s sake.

Well, Antonio. If this is how you intend to take Inter on top of Serie A, please stop.

Essere interista, as Curva Nord wrote in May 2019, means respect Inter’s history, its sporting tradition, its people, the city that it represents with honor."

I'm not saying you have to agree with this stance, but this shows why many fans are mad about the way this is happening. Even people who care only about wins, get left with a bitter taste in their mouth and question for the necessity.

Personally I'd still like to think - as mentioned in my post above - that it has to do with contract clauses. But my guess is as good/bad as any one's.

But this post could shed some light on the discussion.

meh. assuming conte is being extremely petty with eriksen and trying to humiliate him (which is likely), as annoying as it is, it's certainly not that sort of things that can be considered giving up on our values.

it is what it probably looks like, conte being petty towards eriksen (and marotta). nothing more, nothing less. eriksen will move on, so will we (although some of us will fear that this thing badly backfires us, when eriksen possibly starts to shine at another club).

on another note, i'm satisfied with the match, beyond the result itself. i like how we managed it, not exposing ourselves too much to counters; and while we should have not conceded, we hit them back immediately. matches like this make me hopeful for Serie A.

Champions league is however another beast (and it's not just in our hands).

Mihajlovic still being salty: "We hurt, but Inter did nothing exceptional"

Guy worked hard to ruin whatever good feelings Interisti had for him and now he's taking dumps on the corpse of that relationship.

Problem is that Miha is right. Our game was nothing exceptional. Solid play against mediocre Seria A team.

Eriksen get paid millions to sit on the bench, sulking to media, and performance wise looks like he himself doesnt give a damn, and people crying over him being played for 2 minutes

This is more like conte’s hate, which people nitpicking every little thing he do
People acting like he disrespect club’s legend

Funny thing is, if that was gags, ranno, or dumbo that got subben on, they wouldnt even bat an eye, heck they would even make fun of them..and you know who’ve been fighting tooth and nail, give blood and sweat for the black and blue? Hint:its not eriksen

Im really cant decide when our left side is more useless, with young or with prisic...

Our left side does look more toothless, but in terms of goal contribution its performing on par with the right side so far.

When you look at the wing backs, Perisic + Young have contributed towards the similar number of goals (8, or 24%) as Hakimi + Darmian (9 or 27%).

When you look at all left side players (Perisic + Young + Kolarov + Bastoni), they have contributed to 13 goals (39%) vs 12 (36%) from the right side (Hakimi + Darmian + D'Ambrosio + Skriniar).

So while we see a big difference in play and attacking threat, in terms of end product the left side is matching the right in terms of goal contribution stats. Here is the latest player wise data on Goal Contributions and GC%: http://forzainterforums.com/showthread.php?15148-Goal-Scorers-and-Assist-Men-2020-21/page2

Miha is absolutely right. While stats don't tell the whole story, we had the same amount of shots and shots on target, while having less possession and less total passes with a worse accuracy rate. Against Bologna. We won the game convincingly because we just had better players. That won't work when we face top 6 sides or in European competition. I understand a part of that is just how Conte plays but it still isn't good enough

Miha is partially right. I wouldn't call it an exceptional game, but it did look relatively comfortable. In a season loaded with so many fixtures, some of them have to be routine wins if we want to be serious competitors on multiple fronts (lol).

It's a step in the right direction. Although I'm hesitant to get too optimistic.

mihajlovic maybe thought he was belittling us but he did the opposite: even with an average match, we beat them comfortably. so either we have a much greater potential than what shown yesterday, or bologna definitely sucks; or a little of both.

Caught my eye and I screencapped for later:

What is this shit. You have 6 Inter players marking the nearest 2 Bologna players. (3 guys on a 38 year old Palacio... :palm:)

Then further back you have a Bologna overload with 3 players wrapping around Gagliardini by himself. In fact this set piece was barely just cleared for a corner by Gagliardini.. But all they needed was a better ball to the far post and that's a goal. Incredible.

Interesting, never noticed how zonal we are on set pieces. Surely some type of zonal/man marking hybrid would be better? I’m sure there is some statistical reason for our reliance on zonal vs man marking.

That was the same shit which happened TWICE in Juve-Torino match. Poor kid Singo as RWB had to mark FOUR Juve's players at the same time while McKennie scored the equalizer; 10minutes later Cuadrado crossed another far-post one and it still worked

Further look to the derbies, I remember a million times that cunt face Cuadrado or Suso crossed to far post where they simply put multiple players at one place and our coach just let that poor lonely guy (Dumbo in most cases) lost aerial battle and conceded. How on Earth those professionals who get paid millions annually just can't COUNT :chan:

I said this to you already brother, I don't believe Hakimi was man of the match, I thought he had a relatively poor game overall, however he scored twice (second goal was superb) and I guess thats enough.

I voted for Brozovic I thought he was outstanding.

That's the thing about football, you may be average or even slightly below average for most of the game, then score a brace and you can become MOtM. Rightfully so imho, because goals are what makes the difference.

Its a strange one for me, I totally agree the goals made the difference but does that make him man of the "match"? I don't begrudge him I am glad he is getting good press he needs it from us fans, I just think overall Brozovic had that game.
