Lautaro had it to many. This is not the first time.

Most attacker does not score every game, or else a good season would not be just plus 20 goals. It would be almost twice that number. Your expectations are really really unrealistic and basically you can count on a single hand throughout entire football history players living up to what you apparently expect.

Most of Lautaro season he was actually a young player… again having realistic expectations might be a good thing to have. Again he scored the number of goals that was realistic the past two seasons.

Generally I think we did ok. We were a bit careful in the first half but Inzaghi went "fuck it, score some goals" mode in the second one. We could have scored at least 3 goals.

Have to note that we got lucky in the first half when Barella took down one of Benfica players in the box. A lot of referees could give a PK.

Trubin was good but our shots could have been better and we didn't need to suffer to the end.

Sucks about all these injuries at the start of season. Really should have went for a 5th striker in summer after witnessing the same injury issues for 2 seasons in a row.

Let's also not forget Dumfries complete inability to make a correct offensive decision today. Could have actually won 4/5-0. As it is, it's still a really good 3 points.

Second half was what I’m talking about. As soon as our guys feel the urgency they hit a different level in terms of sharpness and precision in building up goal scoring situations. It felt like every attack could produce something dangerous. Sadly we didn’t put three or four past them. But this is the right spirit. Also great crowd tonight.

It could have been an easy 6-0 win on another night. Martinez, after 4 goals as a sub last weekend, balanced his xG to G ratio. Missed 5 sitters, or was it 6? I lost count. And yet, he was so good that I can't blame him. There will be days like this one, and days like last weekend. Maybe tomorrow, there will be no shit sticking to his foot.

Lautaro's misses remind me a lot of his goals against Milan (when he hit the ball with the outside of his boot (like vs Milan in some supercup), and when he hit the post (like vs Milan in UCL semifinal). Just unlucky today and of course Trubin was also unreal.
