Last season there was a tie for 17th/18th position between Verona and Spezia, and previously Spezia would've remained in the league ahead of Verona due to head-to-head being in their favor (4 points to 1), but beginning with last season there's now a tiebreaker game to decide who (in their case) remained in the league and who got relegated. And despite winning the head-to-head, the game was played at a neutral venue, at Sassuolo's stadium, which is the most fucked up part of that.

Based on that, I believe the same thing comes into play for a Scudetto tie a the top of the table, and apparently if that happened between us and Juve we wouldn't even get the benefit of playing at home through a head-to-head tiebreaker.
