Beating Juve and Milan in the same night!! It doesn't come much better than that.
At least I'll have a spring in my step until the season starts.
Great results for us today, shows us what we are capable of, the talent we have, and where we have to improve
Compared to the other two teams we had a much-much stronger squad available and I'd guess we are a bit ahead in preparations.
Considering that, I'd think our performances were quite dreadful. The Milan team was full of unknown kids, some of whom will probably not even play in Serie A more than 10 games in their career. Juve completely dominated us and we had two chances.
There's more negative to me than positive.
When I looked at the midfield. Even if you put Sahin in there... I wonder are we going to be able to dominate games. Because we really lack the ability to break up opponent play and Sahin is not the player that does it.
Although the pitch was shit.
For me... the biggest positive was not Coutinho, but Silvestre. The timing of his challenges and conviction in his play was top notch.
And it looks to me as if we really shouldn't rely on Longo to be the only option for replacing Milito. It seems as if he has a long way to go.
Guarin... some praise him, some don't. But for me, he gives away the ball very easily far too often - be it a long range shot that goes 20 yards over the goal or a really bad pass. And tactically speaking, he's not that impressive in defence either.

Hey guys I just came back home, had to miss this unfortunately - how did it go? What are the results?
Did we look promising??? What do you think
Some part you are right, but when we are using JZ as DM is disaster to happen, as well for Cuchu he did even worth this match and as well Guarin did well, i dont know truly what match you watched ( no offence ), but to be honest Guarin was one of the best midfielder we had on the pitch, but one good thing we can take from this match, we scored more goals, then we consed.

I remember a few stupid Guarin give-away's (shots included)... I'd say he's the sort of player who is in too much hurry to give the ball away and overestimates what his team-mates do. And against Juve I remember some very weird defending from him and this was the game he actually had some midfield opposition. Milan was just bunch of kids.
People are wearing too much "new signing glasses" with him. There's a lot missing from his game. Lot of raw potential, but still far from a world class midfielder.
Inter played bad. Won both games. Cursed Trophy. Not good sign.
i got a couple of notes on the game.........first, chivu sucks......thats it.
