I think his best attributes are his dribbling (but just to make space, not to beat a man, as he doesn't have the pace), two-footedness, and long shots. The thing I don't get is why he thinks he is a central mid, not an attacking mid. Not enough defensive solidity and work rate for CM, really.

Hernanes should play as AM or DM... he played as AM in Lazio scoring a lot of goals, while he played as DM in Brazil, but not as a starter.

At the moment he has lost a starter spot in our team, but he can be helpfull also during the match.

Is Hernanes injured or something? We definately need him to play instead of Guarin.

I am ok with Guarin playing as long it is higher on the field than CM position. As DM/CM you need to have more brain to not take unnecessary risks that Guarin wants to take. I actually believe he can be a good joker player in games like Torino where the opponent parks the bus. Those games Guarin kind of player can usefull when noone knows what he gonna do next.

I think Hernanes certainly would have come off the bench today for Kuz or Guarin if it wasn't for the injuries to Andreolli and D'ambrosio. Hearing people criticise Mancini for not switching up the formation when we weren't creating, but he was forced into a corner somewhat by having to use up those substitutions. I know it can be argued that the starting line up was the problem, but to say Mancini picked Donkor over Hernanes is wrong - that was a sub we had to make because of defensive injuries.

Yeah, I'm sure it had to do with Mancini picking a youth player over Hernanes, and nothing to do with the fact that we had no right back and Hernanes isn't one while Donkor is.

That doesn't talk to highly about our other players, because he is really not that good in holding the ball. I have seen him several times trying to dribble, doing it successfully but then losing the ball anyway and "running" in slow motion to try to get it back... :/
