Really? As I said in the Kovacic thread, I thought both of them had a very good game today, their job is to keep possession and link the midfield-attack. And I think he did a very good job today in that aspect. Nothing spectacular but he definitely brings quality to the midfield and his partnership with Kova makes us stronger. He's a starter for sure.

Yeah, his direct free kicks are crap.

However, I love the fact that he's able to cross equally well with both right and left foot, not many players that can do that. That free kick assist was with his left and he is right footed, amazing cross.

Did much better in the second half when Parma were a man down, exploited the space very well. Also had a really nice chest down for Nagatomo at some point but a Parma defender did well.
