You have cut your hair. How come?
"It all started with a bet I made. I said I'd cut it if I managed to stay at Inter... In the end I liked it."

:D

Crespo eyes second Scudetto

Inter striker Hernan Crespo believes repeating last season’s performances in Serie A will not be an easy task.

The Nerazzurri won their 15th Scudetto after a record-breaking campaign, finishing with a 22-point lead over second-placed Roma, who they will face on Sunday in the Italian Super Cup.

“I would be ready to sign up for a season like the last one, for me and for the team,” Crespo told Sky Italia.

“The term that has just ended was unique and extraordinary for us. We won by beating every record, no one had ever managed such a feat.

“We will try to win the Scudetto again this year, but fewer points might be required to do so,” added the Argentine international, who scored 14 Serie A goals last year.

“Our plan is to try and win to reach our objectives. We might not have done that well in our pre-season friendlies, but these matches don’t count for much in the end.

“A good start would give us the right mentality and winning the Super Cup could certainly be a message for the other teams too,” said the ex-Chelsea striker.

Crespo scored a decisive goal in last year’s Super Cup match against the Giallorossi, when Inter came back from 3-0 down to win 4-3 after extra time.

“I remember that goal, I came on in the second half and scored almost immediately. I am happy because the new season is about to start and we want to win the Super Cup on Sunday to start well like we did last year.

“Let’s just hope we play a better first half than we did last season,” explained the former Parma and Lazio hitman, who faces some stiff competition for a place in Inter’s starting XI this year..

“I am not afraid of the fact that there are many good strikers competing for a spot in the team, it is normal in a club which wants to stay at the top of world football.

“Last season taught us that you need everybody to get important results. By achieving the club’s objectives we will make sure everybody’s happy,” concluded Crespo.

for inter to win the league again, crespo+ibra up front has to be a MUST.
suazo can come off the bench when needed, but he cant be the starter.

crespo needs to be the starter in every game for this team to work. mancini is ****ing himself over by not starting him. it showed against udinese, and will continue to show all thru the season unless he changes it.
bu ti doubt he will. sucks for me cos i want to see crespo hit that 200 goal mark. but i could live with inter not winning as im a milan fan anyway :p

Crespo has a injury during the copa, and after that he doesnt have played much in a game.. so i do see its a risk to start with crespo.. and even before the game i remember seeing that crespo and cambiasso still need little more time to recover..

Crespo wasn't fit. Do you really think Mancini would have started Cruz over Hernan had crespo been fit??

Well in the last part of the season when we had everything won, Crespo was the only player who was still playing imo. And some of his goals throughout the season were very important :) FORZA ARMA LETALE!!

As i said before, im not an Inter fan, so i really havent followed too much, but by the looks of things, mancini's favoured starting lineup seems to consist of zlatan and suazo. he might change that for some european games, just for crespo's experience, but on the whole, in most games in the league, i dont think crespo will be started.
Crespo is probably just below the pecking order behind suazo, but thats where the mistake is imo. suazo isnt bad, and the problem is that he probably good enough to keep his spot, but he wont score 20 goals a season, EVERY season like crespo will, given the chance, even at this age.
suazo is significantly faster than crespo, but i dont think can come close to him on finishing. and alongside zlatan, you need a finisher.

Suazo has very good finish actually. He's not as good on headers as Crespo but I defintly see him scoring twenty goals this season, if he gets to start a majority of the matches that is. And besides Suazo is a much better overall player then Crespo.

Also while Crespo did great in Coppa Italia he had patches of small goal droughts throughout the season. Actually Zlatan was the more consistent one in Serie A, and that's not the way it should be given that Crespo has no responsibilites, apart from scoring and running.

o trust me suazo can finish when he's on form. Not quite like crespo (top 3 in the world at finishing) but suazos pace opens him up alot better for ibra. this helps ibra be more creative.
