I think the issue is that most of people here care when Asslani or Frattesi assist or score. But when Mhiki does that its like nothing. People care only when he has a bad game. This guy doesnt gets credit he deserves. To claim that he plays just cause Inzaghi loves him is so wrong. Thats why Dave is probably pissedEither way this is silly, don't understand why you're getting defensive as if anyone cares about assists or whatever as if we're relegating quality in terms of such ridiculous Americanisms. Mkhitaryan having "an assist" or not has no impact on how he played.
I'd advise you to get accustomed to the culture of the sport instead of bringing such toxic simplicities to it.
I'm not toxic.baffled about how people are getting so toxic over just an assit
I'm for justice. I just commented that Frattesi scored more goals than our midfield trio combined.
I don't hate anybody with my so called ridiculous Americanisms

It’s not everywhere else. The reason why it’s showing as an assist in so many places is because those sites just copy WhoScored. Since the original site made an error, they’re all copying the error.everywhere is 7 assist and I'm sticking to it.
Transfermarkt doesn't copy, they just hand them out. It's a known (non) "issue".Why would Espn or Transfermarket copy Who Scored?
How do you objectively prove intent? Even now we don't know 100% if Dimaro intended to score that goal vs frosinoneTransfermarkt doesn't copy, they just hand them out. It's a known (non) "issue".
Opta is the ones who gave Mkhitaryan the assist. And everyone is following Opta.
It's the typically last touch fallacy. An assist has to be an intended pass to a player who will take advantage of that pass and shoot. Any other methodology sits between too liberal or plain wrong.
Like this "Intent is often proven by way of inference, including by use of circumstantial evidence, character evidence (e.g. motive or animosity), post-offence conduct, statements made by the accused, or similar fact evidence. Inferences are factual findings based on common sense."How do you objectively prove intent? Even now we don't know 100% if Dimaro intended to score that goal vs frosinone
Theee will definitely be cases where this would be arguable and we'd have discussions over it.How do you objectively prove intent? Even now we don't know 100% if Dimaro intended to score that goal vs frosinone
Thank you. I'll add it to the list.Idk why people are arguing about the assist? Even Serie A counted it as an assist. Did he do it on purpose? Probably not, but he did touch the ball last before Darmian struck it do its an assist. FYI, I don't look at goal and assist as metric on how our midfielders play, just adding an objective perspective.

There are data providers that claim a won free kick that goes directly in can be an assist. Or a PK won.P.S. I don't know the definition of assist though, so I don't know if it is an assist or not. I am very confused at this point.
Yea this is weird as fuckThere are data providers that claim a won free kick that goes directly in can be an assist. Or a PK won.
Ironically those same providers wouldn't give the taker an assist if he had won the kick
