I’m not against it assuming his wages drop.

Given how broke we are, we can’t afford to pay for a quality player who’ll fill the Klaassen role.

If anything, we’ll end up replacing Miki with some other 32-24yr old who’ll almost certainly be a step down.

By all accounts Miki’s the first on the training ground and the last to leave. If anyone’s going to exhibit longevity, it’s him.

2 years would be a bit sus. One year extension is almost like a must tho as explained above. We cannot replace him adequately with zero budget. Inter keeping this guy will allow us to spend elsewhere. Mkhitaryan is not a problem for us at all. Instead he's been a solution for over an year now and nothing points he wouldn't be a solution next season too.

Supposedly, Saudis are offering 8 mil net for 2-year contract (16 mil), while Inter is offering one-year extension for 3.5 mil net. So, 16 vs 3.5, his call. The ideal would be to get 1 year extension and then get the Saudis' offer, but it may not come next year. I say do you your best to win Scudetto, maybe even CL and get the retirement money and allow Freattesi do his thing.

It's a mistake. Miki will start against Juve along with Barella and Hakan. Frattesi nor Klassen can't do Miki's job yet. Fast transitions and spreading the ball and defensive work.
