I do feel bad for him, but to be fair he knew this could happen. And he hasn't helped himself taunting them. Then again, weird they care so much seeing as all milans fans said he was a shit player. Don't know why they discuss him so much if he's shit lol.

It is hilarious seeing Zlatan go after him tho, given he's one of the biggest mercenaries to ever play.

He's been doing what was expected, but he'll have to be better in Europe

Left for free to their rival?

But out of the starters def hope he is sacrificed. He was free and def think he is the easiest to replace

well Zlatan is a cunt that talks too much, calha just switched teams and had like one or two words said about Milan, Zlatan can get over how we sell him and next year beat them just to win CL

I guess that kinda proves my point. It's been more than a decade. I don't believe we should still give Zlatan so much attention

I forget Zlatan even played here to be honest. When i think of Zlatan i only think of him at PSG and Milan. I've never liked him due to his attitude. That and his inability to get anywhere near a UCL even with the clubs he's played at is absolutely laughable.

As an Inter fan, it was easy to forget Zlatan since he was replaced adequately and the team won the CL.

But looking back, Zlatan was a big deal at Inter, probably his best years were here, although he may never admit.

Probably means you weren't around in the 2006-2009 period because Zlatan was everything.

Everything in the league? Sure. But in Europe he was nothing short of a choker and never stepped up in KO.

06/07: 0 goals
07/08: 5 goals. All of them in group stage
08/09: 1 goal against Werder in group stage

Especially his matches against Man Utd in 08/09 were two of the most pathetic performances of an Inter star forward ever. Thank God he left so we could win CL again.

I think more of that CL stuff is on Mancini rather than Zlatan. In the 2008-9 CL group, we were rather poor. His best game was vs Panathinaikos in Athens where he pretty much made both goals. And that 1 goal he scored, he actually came on as a sub! We weren't some free scoring team and Zlatan failed to convert.
We were also poor in the next group stage in 2009-10.

As for the Man Utd games, I think you're saying that due to expectations, but he was still our best performer and could have had a couple of goals but was unlucky.

Either way, the end result doesn't look good for Zlatan in the CL but you could say the same about Ronaldo or Adriano who only had one momentous game vs Porto but overall was poor in the KO stages.

Ronaldo for example only scored in three KO games in his CL career. Granted that he played a lot in the Uefa Cup and CWC before the CL was "the only tournament" and they carried a similar weight, it still looks poor. A memorable hattrick vs Manchester United, a goal vs Monaco in the 1st leg (KO'd eventually) and a semi final goal vs Juventus that wasn't enough.

Even Vieri only had those two Valencia games with CL KO goals with Inter and scored more (3) in the CL final run with Juventus against Rosenborg and Ajax.

For some reason, ever since the early 2010s, people are putting too much into how many CL goals a player has, especially after the group stages (as that's not even relevant these days!). This is something that the media frenzy of Messi vs Cristiano brought us because the level of football at the middle and bottom plummeted while the top teams became far better than before, so a few focal points can always inflate their scoring stats. Nobody really cared about these things in the past as long as you helped your team advance, whether you scored, passed, occupied vital space or not.
And that's the point, just look above. Rosenborg and Ajax were KO goals for Vieri. Now you don't get to meet such teams and if you do they're x10 weaker than they were back then.

Or we could simply say Inter fail to impress in the CL instead of singling out this or that one for our failure.

Minus the 2010 glory and reaching the semi final with Cuper once, we have been a disappointment in this competition for decades. Not just for years or a period; decades!

It's not easy to be successful in CL, that is why Real Madrid is such an anomaly this decade. Nobody can take away from Ibra the legendary Serie A seasons at Inter (and in other clubs as well, I would say he was best in PSG).

All the clubs in Europe knew Inter only had one player that should be stopped and that was Ibra. He wasn't beasting in CL, but he wasn't shit every game, which seems the storyline ever since he left Inter.
