Yeah, I think this is Iran's best chance of progress, but there is no real weak team here.

It's always interesting to see the Colony versus the Masters. I bet Angola will be aching to beat Portugal.

BTW, if anyone knows, do Portuguese players play for Angola? I know Emmanuel of Porto used to, that could be interesting.

Angola was a Portuguese state for those who don't know. Their primary languge is Portuguese.

Nearly all Angolan players play in Portuguese clubs.... A lot of Angolans became Portuguese and didn't play for Angola, but Mantorras(Benfica striker) led Angola to the WC if great performances with his nation.

Interesting clash. Reminds me of Senegal and France, for the above reasons

Do you know how many actual Portuguese players play with the Angolan NT? I know a couple that were born there and elected to play for them.

I know that Pedro Emanuel changed his mind and wants to play for the Portuguese NT now.

I hope Portugal does good since last world Cup was a big disappointment, and Europen Cup, loosing at home was very bad.
I think Portugal as nice players and a nice team, after the group stage, everything is possible.
I would like to see Angola go ahead with Portugal, but I think Mexico and Portugal are the ones that will make it.
A word for Iran, is not a surprise to see them here, they have value and may have a chance.

My prediction:

Iran is out of the question! Angola might surprise us by beating the Portuguese, since most of them play in Portugal, former colony etc etc. Mexico might clinch the first spot, only if they manage to beat Portugal. Portugal are the favourites in here, as long as Figo has a good tournament
