10 years of FIF
Buying this guy will be a waste of money.
Icardi was 20 years old, was a 13m signing and was a prolific goal scorer at primavera one year before his outbreak season at Sampdoria. Scamacca is 23, he hasn't been prolific at any level and he's linked with a 40m move. No one would mind Scamacca if we was a teenager or if we were talking about a 20-25m move. And before someone brings it up, yes. You can add counterparts but if the guy fails the only thing that is going to matter is his 40m book value, not how much cash you paid. Some food for thoughts: Scamacca has scored a goal every 115 minutes so far, whereas Vlahovic has scored a goal every 109 minutes. Lautaro has scored every 112 minutes so far. So Scamacca is up there considering the goal scoring stats this season.
Sure his goal scoring stats have only been somewhat reasonable only this season, but buying a proven scorer seems to not be in our reach, so somehow we have to go for the gamble.
Also I‘d like the sceptic lots to remember a certain Mauro Icardi we transferred after only scoring 10 goals for Sampdoria.
Icardi was cheaper and younger, also atleast had a 19 goal Primavera season. Some food for thoughts: Scamacca has scored a goal every 115 minutes so far, whereas Vlahovic has scored a goal every 109 minutes. This is just wrong. Book value is one thing but it's not the only thing. Cash flow is important for Inter these days and getting favourable loan deal with cash part being "not too high" is a factor for sure.Icardi was 20 years old, was a 13m signing and was a prolific goal scorer at primavera one year before his outbreak season at Sampdoria. How exactly is it wrong? Is it wrong book value is the most important thing when you want to offload a player? If he fails there's no market for him and we're stuck with him for years. This is just wrong. Book value is one thing but it's not the only thing. I guess the comparables to Scamacca are Jonathan David perhaps? I can't think of other names. Thuram? Eh. Raspadori perhaps too but his profile is a lot different. Any names from outside Italy will be cash only so we need to factor that in too.
And when it comes to Vlahovic, Marotta tried last summer. Rumor was we offered 50m€ but Commisso obviously wasn't having any of that. Vlahovic is indeed on a different league and he's out of our reach for sure without an ownership change.
I get people hate Immobile because of his performances with national team but he isn't shit. He has his limitations but he can score goals. Immobile was a capocannoniere with freaking Torino. It's not like he was a nobody who was suddenly turned into a prolific scorer by Inzaghi. Now he's also good with Sarri so it certainly isn't a coach thing. He just had two bad spells abroad. It happens.
On the other hand, Scamacca hasn't scored double digit number of league goals in a season at any level. Primavera, Eredivisie, Serie B, Serie A. Perhaps he will suddenly turn into a 20 goal forward but the guy is a gamble. And an expensive one.
Get us Immobile. How much would he cost? I don't care about his spells abroad or with NT, I need him to scores goal in Serie A.I get people hate Immobile because of his performances with national team but he isn't shit.
