Breaking: possible Wenger successor sacked by Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund have sacked their manager Thomas Tuchel, according to reports in Germany. The contract of the German manager was due to expire in 2018 but Borussia Dormtund have unexpectedly decided to part companies with the talented manager one year before the natural expiration of his contract.
Tuchel was among a host of credible candidates to take over at Arsenal in case Wenger would have not been offered a new deal by the Gunners.
Although the Frenchman is expected to sign a new two-year deal with Arsenal in the next few days, the sacking of Tuchel could change the scenario at the Emirates Stadium as the German is one of the most appreciated managers in North London.
There are still few details emerging from German media regarding the sacking of Tuchel but calciomercato.com will provide you some more information as soon as we get it.
Tuchel has confirmed the club’s decision through his official Twitter account.
“I am grateful for two beautiful, eventful and exciting years. Too bad that it [his experience at BVB] can’t continue”, Tuchel said.
I had read it on Goal's German edition. That source is usually unreliable but, according to some twitter users, the author of that article is trustworthy. I don't remember any Dortmund player supporting the coach in public recently. Even if it didn't come to ultimatums things must have been pretty bad.Yeah from what I understand it was a beef with the upper level management. Hadn't heard anything about player ultimatums until now.
VAR needed for this Bayern goal. Kimmich looked obviously offside, but they still allowed it? Interesting
I bet that shit will happen most of the time with juve.
Speaking of VAR, that happened yesterday in Dutch Super Cup.
Absurd tbh. It was clear offside, but they're saying they won't overturn unless it's "really clear"...Like wtf?
VAR will make conspiracy theories even worse and yes, we can see Juve getting the "benefit of the doubt" and all "marginal" calls
What clear offsides? It was very close and in the replay i would have also said that it probably was on side. Was a very close call but no way was this a clear offsides.
