At the moment, the good thing from this dude is when we beat Milan to get his signature.

But yeah, I havent given up on him yet. I believe he is a good signing for us and for long term project..

I have no doubt that this guy will develop into something very very decent. It's just like Punk said above, he needs to be paired with someone who is creative, either a trequartista or a regista. He's big, he runs a lot, he knows how to dribble and pass (usually)... good things will happen. He's definitely not a marquee player, like Kova and that's why people are disappointed I guess...

We sell Guarin, Brozo puts on one of the worst performances in the history of organized sport and Kondogbia can't even get off the bench. Against the team that we outbid for him. Cool.

The fact that he didn't replace Brozo tonight is so fucked up and bizzare. Brozovic was playing like a Serie D player and he was on the pitch till the end.

He is a prime example of whats wrong with this club. I have followed Kondo since his Sevilla days and never has he looked as bad as he looks in this Inter side.
I have not seen all his games there but i watched at least 5 games of his every season since he joined Sevilla and never have i seen such bad passing and ball control by him it seems only the strength part of his game stayed as good as it was before joining inter.
Now does this mean Kondogbia is shit? Imho it s another clear indicator that there is something terribly wrong within our squad/game plan. Now the weirdest thing about this is it seemed like Mancini wanted Kondogbia here but he seems to have no idea how to play him or how to help him improve his game.

That all being said i hope we dont make the mistake and attribute his current form to a lack of talent instead of low confidence and a very bad organised team.

This is such a sad story. I hope we sell him in the summer and cut our losses.

Idea: Lodi?

Kovacic?

We gained a pretty massive profit from him.

Well still would not call it a success! yeah we sold him for a huge profit but saying he succeeded here? I mean the kid was a bench player and if you compare it with the expectations we had on him there is no way you can say he succeeded here.

Every coach came here to bench him initially, but he won them over at the end of every coach's tenure.

He was definitely a starter near the end of Mazzarri's time, and near the end of his time with Mancini. He had to re-establish himself again every time yes, but that does not mean he was just another bench player.

You are right some how i thought he sat on the bench more in his final season then he actually did. Anyways my point stands that he never really lived up to the expectations we interistas had. Whether or not our expectations were realistic or not is another discussion.
That being said i expected more development in 2.5 years at the club, imho there was very little improvement in his game over these 2.5 years.

Now of course it all depends on what you define as succeed, if you define succeeding for a young player to conquer a starting spot and get sold for a high price then yes he succeeded at inter.
But for me saying a young player succeeded in this and that club also has to do with unlocking his full potential and we clearly failed there with kova.

We wouldn't be able to unlock his potential if we had sold him.

It was a matter of time, or not.

The fact that we managed to sell him with such a big margin of difference shows how we managed to get him showcased his talent enough to attract a big team like Madrid. That means his performance was clearly sufficient to attract the big players.

Kovacic? His talent didn't attract a big team like Madrid, it only attracted that fat fool Rafa.

Back to topic, Kondogbia had a good game today. Some nice moves, and finally some attacking intent. Almost everything from our midfield seemed to flow through him, he bossed the middle of the park tonight. I know it was only lil Chievo, but I hope we see some more of this.

GDS must really hate Kondo. I don't have another reasonable explanation. That's their rating for his performance against Chievo:

Geoffrey Kondogbia – 6

The Frenchman is still looking to settle in Serie A and put in another disappointing performance. His passing was astray whilst several long-range efforts were blasted well over, much to the chagrin of better-placed teammates.

And take a look on their rating for Brozo's performance:

Marcelo Brozovic – 6

After coming in for criticism during Inter’s derby defeat, Brozovic did little to suggest much improvement with a sloppy display. A weak pass to Miranda put his teammate into trouble and gave Chievo a dangerous freekick. The Croat did look to push forward however, showing some good passing range.
