That's exactly the reason why we should not hate on decisions regarding him. I'd rather have him for 30 minutes in every game until the end of the season than gamble of playing him full time for 3-4 games and loose him for the rest of the season.

According to transfermarkt he has played a total of 4 games on the left in his professional career; no goals or assists.

Think about it, isn't it better to build on the confidence that the kid just acquired, let him thrive in his best position and build chemistry with the players next to him than to confuse him with a new role?

I would understand changing his position if he was underperforming.

I'd much rather have Candreva on the left. Early in the season he and Perisic had couple of pretty brilliant moments where they would temporarily swap sides for couple of minutes, he seemed to handle it okay from what I remember.
