Today we played against Bayern and Fiorentina for the Trentino cup . Matches were 45min long and we lost both of them on penalty kicks after drawing the matches 1-1.

Bernazani used a lot of players. They were almost all the Beretti players of last year + some old faces like Forte , Bandini , Duncan + some ex Allievi like Tassi , Donkor and Pedrabissi.

The team dominated both matches but we didn't have a striker to finish chances for us. We had a lot of attacking midfielders/wingers who were technically gifted but almost nothing really dangerous was created.
I was impressed by Yago Dell Piero who controlled the midfield in both matches . He was playing like a deep lying playmaker with a free duty to move with the ball . Isacc Donkor also had a very good match in the center defence. On the 2nd match the mister used Bangoura (i think he used to play as an wided forward/winger with allievi) as a left back and he was impressive turning into a Marcelo type of Lb.

Tassi entered only in the 2nd match and played 15min or so(?????) and he scored with a free kick but at the time too many changes had been made and there was no link up play whatsoever. Guidala (the famous new Ballotelli) wasn't used.

I cant express how disappointed I have been with the youth transfers (or lack of) so far this season. As far as I can see there's only really been one - Acampora. Anyone U-16 or so we wont announce on the website, and I'm preparing some lists so we can do some comparisons in a few weeks time, but the lack of Primavera movement is really not so good.

Yes very true . We are used to make at least one important transfer for season in our youth ranks.
On the other hand we can't be so surprised that in time of crises the club doesn't feel to spend on youth players. All the players mentioned Nitcham , that Sporting player, that Salzburg player etc had fees involved and in the times when we pay Silvestre's fee in 4 years we shouldn't expect too much...

Also you must keep in mind that almost all the players upgraded from under-x to under-x+1 have been crowned champions in their respective levels so a certain faith must be given to them. Btw that Acampora seemed very promising in those 2 touches he made with the 1st team.

The only problem i have is the St position in our primavera. That team is filled with Am and wingers/inside forwards but does not have a good first team prospect for the central forward position . I am not convinced by Forte at all. Anyway who knows with this kids , he may do a Longo and explode this year ...

gotta say this is a fucking weird primavera line up.
Eguelfi, Belloni, Gabbianelli are people i've barely heard of, to see them starting infront of people like Tassi, Bocar, and Guglielmotti somewhat surprises me.

admittedly we're still down a few players (with the first team, for example) but still....

also still epic disappointed with the lack of primavera transfers
