Yeah but how did Rhaegar justify taking her? What did he say to his father? You know that because Rhaegar and Lyanna disappeared, Ned's brother and Ned's father died and thus started a war, that overthrowed the Targaryens and also killed almost all of them.
Also, what a fantastic performance by Peter Dinklage. I didn't realise until today how vitally important he is to this show. Without him the show would be very lacking.

I just watched the YouTube clip of the monologue and woooooow it was spectacular! Man fantastic acting encompassing the boiled up and building anger within Tyrion! So well done. Bad ass, straight up.
Yeah I agree with that, it's very difficult to label Good vs Bad as you get deeper into the story. At first, I thought STARKS GOOD LANNISTER BAD, but each have their flaws and their conscience. It really creates a fun atmosphere for who everyone roots for in the story.
Like for me personally, I'm rooting for Arya, and whichever side she ends up on.
Jaime = Bad at first for throwing Bran off the building and crippling him but he has done a lot of good since. He also killed the King but later you find out why and feel he got a bad rap. I wouldn't burn my family because some asshole told me to. Tho throwing a kid off a building is a pretty dick move but the guy has been told he was gods gift to the world his whole life. Tyrion also had it pretty rough with the way his dad treats him and everyone but Jaime blaming him for killing his mom. He doesn't really do anything "evil" he bangs a lot of prostitutes and gets drunk a lot but its sort of acceptable in this "world"
The Starks are all good from what I read.
As for Neds brother, he has 2. One is Brandon whom dies because the Mad king sets him on fire during trail by Combat. The batshit crazy king says Fire is his champion and if he can't beat fire in a fight then he is guilty haha if he burns. The other is Benjen got killed by the White Walkers or went missing after the 1st book. In the show it shows he is missing an arm. So he prob a white walker by now.

Fine he should have said something but you act like she didn't want to go or there was a struggle. She says Robert is a dick and going to cheat on her. Basically her brothers wanted her to marry one of their best friends. She meets a better looking guy and he ask her out and is the villain? If anything they should have given everyone the memo and she shouldn't have broken up with Rob by letter but still.
No part of the book does it make it seem Rhaegar did anything wrong to Lyanna and wasn't a good guy. Neds brother Brandon was a hotheaded douchebag and Aegon was a batshit crazy king.
^ To me Ned was the ultimate good guy in the show. The exact opposite character of Cercei. A father, leader, king anybody could wish for. I even saw him as the main character of the series until he was kiilled off & I couldn't understand the world anymore.
The face off he had with Joffrey & the Kings gaurds, where Robert's note was torn & he got betrayed & captured is still the most heartbreaking scene of the entire show to me. That & every wolf that was killed in the show.
After he was gone I couldn't bring myself to give a fuck about anyone else really. So wasn't even really bothered about the Red Wedding.
God damn almighty!!! What an episode!!! HOLY FUCK!!!
But I gotta question though: Varys... why? Just why? Of all the people I wouldn't have thought he would testify like that. Why did he do it & what did that mean what he said, sth like "sadly I don't forget anything"? If you don't, why are you doing this to Tyrion?

Also Lion I felt the same way. For some odd reason Varys' testimony was the one that bothered me the most, not because I didn't expect him to do it. It just seemed odd, it seemed like he was somewhat fond of Tyrion when he was the Hand. They were able to accomplish a decent amount of work collaborating with each other and it seems like of all the people on the small council, Tyrion & Varys had the best terms.
But he does always state that he serves the "realm" whatever the fuck that means lol
Shae's testimony in the book was way funnier, and humiliating lol "He made me call him.....the.....giant of lannister"
Nope she didn't go to the Red wedding in the books.
And her mom was sneaking her Moon Tea so that she didn't have baby

I'm curious who everyone thinks the biggest badass of the world is? Maybe we should wait till the end of the season before asking this question, but fuck it I'm asking it now.
You can give your top 1, 3, 5 whatever you want. I'll give my answer below and I decided to give top 5.
Also lets have some sort of universal definition to go by. This is the first hit on google, so I'll just roll with it.
badass: a tough, uncompromising, or intimidating person.
1. Arya - This kid has no fear, refuses to take no for an answer, and refuses to fail. She has accomplished so much and is very quick witted for someone her age. Knows how to kill in various techniques and is still learning more ways.
2. Tywin - Out of all of the characters in the series, Tywin is by far the most influential. He has wealth, power, instills fear, and is deceptive. The man is ruthless and brutal to those who defy him but rewards plentifully for them who prove themselves useful. Uses his cunning to win wars with sword or with "deals." The best example of this was the Red Wedding. Very impressive to organize the deed without even anybody in his own house knowing about it.
3. Oberyn - You think you don't give a fuck? This fker gives ZERO fucks. Goes to King's Landing in place of Doran to purposely start shit and pick fights. Can care less about being surrounded by Tyrells and those who murdered his sister. Makes it clear from the start when meeting Tyrion that he is here to figure out what truly happened 15 years ago.
4. Wyman Manderly - I have to add him in here, even though he's massive oaf, quite literally I might add, he still has done a lot of deceiving and secretive shit. I'm adding a spoiler tag here for those who don't want a spoiler on the next season of the show
First of all faking Davos' death probably isn't very risky since he would've just killed him later if caught.
However, murdering 3 Freys, lying about it, cooking them into pies, and serving them to everyone at (fake) Arya's wedding How is that not fucking badass. Ballsy move and hilariously executed. Everyone thinks of him as a dumbass but he's got a decent amount of wit to him.
Also, "The North remembers."
5. This one was probably the toughest since there are plenty of people to put. Honorable Mentions: Jon Snow (can't believe I'm leaving him out), Mance, Tormund, Victarion, Stannis, Barristan, both Clegane brothers, Donal Noye
Jamie Lannister (pre hand sliced) - Jamie was brave, strong, master of the sword and brash as fuck. Pretty much the Knight of Flowers now. Jamie won battles and has done a bunch of ballsy shit in his day, which also got him captured by Robb. The youngest knight to be chosen to serve in the Kingsguard (I know the reason). But in general I felt like Jamie should be on this list.

Tough, uncompromising & intimidating... Let me see... Only one person comes to my mind that matches that description perfectly & that would be The Hound.
I can imagine pretty much everyone else break at some point, but in terms of toughness & intimidation this guy plays in his own league.
Question: If anyone knows how this Hound/Arya storyline ends, please let me know. I read Arya let's him die under some tree, since he is wounded but it was very vague.
-----
Anyways, I think in two episodes we will have the fight between The Mountain & Oberyn. It's gonna be dramatic as fuck I guess. So sad to see Oberyn go so soon. The episode's name is even "The Mountain & The Viper". In the next episode's promo we saw The Mountain for a second, cutting some dude in half with his sword. He looks much much better than The Mountain actor in season 3 (or was it 2?), but I still like the first Mountain the most. That big dude with dark beard who cut the head of his horse.
