A report claims Neymar wants to pick and choose which matches he appears in for Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazil star became the world’s most expensive player in the summer when PSG paid £198million to exercise the release clause in his Barcelona contract.
Since then, numerous reports of his unhappiness with coach Unai Emery and clashes with team-mates, most notably Edinson Cavani, have dogged Neymar, who walked out of a press conference this week after being asked again about rumours of interest from Real Madrid.
Now, a story published on Yahoo written by Duncan Castles claims Neymar wants the right to choose which PSG matches he participates in.
Castle’s quotes ‘a source’ who says: “Neymar is really upset with Emery.
“Because of Cavani, style of play, and privileges Neymar wants. He wants to be able to decide when he doesn’t have to play a game.”
Neymar has form for missing games at convenient times. For the last three years, he has been absent for matches around the birthday of his sister, who he shares a close relationship with. Last year, it was said he sustained an adductor injury after Barca’s famous comeback win over PSG, and he was suspended for two March fixtures during the previous couple of seasons.
Sergio Ramos lightheartedly addressed the coincidence when he was asked about the prospect of Neymar making the move to Real.
The Spain defender told Cadena SER: “I like to play with the best and Neymar is one of them, I hope.
“It’s easier to come via Paris than direct from Barcelona. I would sign him without any doubt, he is a different player that makes a difference.
“I already have the door open for him if he wants to come in December.”
“What we would have to negotiate is his sister’s birthday!”
