I'd describe him as box-to-box. He is good at attack, but is decent at defense as well. He has great long shots, decent passing and vision. his technique is also on decent level.

But, im afraid his tactical presence is bad. His positioning is below average. im afraid he could struggle in team that plays on high level tactics, as Inter. We will see if he comes, i think he would be great addition.

I think his passing and crossing are sick, but creativity and vision are just decent.
He's also fast, and energetic.

The first and last game I watched him was last year Euro Cup final. He was really good. He is quite versatile too i'm not mistaken. However, the question is if he can perform in a higher stage against tighter defences in Italy. He has good eyes and quite accurate passes. The only thing is I rate his weakness is his defensive ability. Then, he is a Colombian. Would he take one of the non-EU spot? Or does he have another passport?

I think thats something CR can help him fix........i'm sure thats the main thing he'd try to adjust or help

Guarin does not have a EU passport that is why Juve passed on him, they want him in the summer but he wants to leave Now. His defensive ability is good but if you put him in a 4-1-3-2 he is not a DM and will not hold off a team if his defense is crappy. He was sold to Porto as a DM and thats why it took him so long to win his spot and Lucho Gonzalez who was ahead of him isn't a shit player by any means. Guarin has decent speed but I would in no way say he is fast, he def faster than Alvarez but that isn't saying much. I know Europa League isn't the best stage but Napoli failed in it where Porto basically walked to the Final. Guarin has a great cross, free kicking abilty, long shot and vision. He had tons of assist last year. I see him as a better Motta with Stanks shot. He is also a leader in midfield and isn't afraid to take shots from a distance. His big problem now is he is not match fit and Porto isn't using him because he wants out. He is cup tied too because I think he played Europa League already but who here thinks we have a shot at Champions this this team?

Best position would be the RCM i na 4312 diamond midfield. He is very dynamic, energetic, can run into spaces. Typical box-to-box. A Lampard-type player with better physique.
