Should we use the option to buy Guarin?

He is a decent player and should not be used as a key player in the midfield. Remember our dark days when He was used as a playmaker, he fucked up all the time. He is not capble of doing something in tight space. But now with boro, shaq, we could release him from complicated offensive duties. He can play simple, and boro shaq can create space for him. He can use his beast strength etc. I am quite optimistic about him tho.

I agree he did release some good ones too.His problem is when he thinks too much or tries to do too much. If he can have the set mind to keep it simple until that point where he sees a chance to shoot or make the killer pass then he would be a beast. Just yesterday he had two players on the break in one side and Icardi with two defenders on him on the other side and guess who he passes it too. A much harder pass for a much harder situation for the recipient.

Exactly. I've always liked & rated Guarin, but he's incredibly frustrating for these reasons. He justs needs to simplify & stop thinking he needs to do amazing things. In the Juve game he did that & he was great, bossing the midfield.

Mancio should give to him restrict duties, not too much freedom on the pitch because he always decide to make wrong move.

Think he needs to be the 5th man on the team he performs way better with better players around him where less pressure on him. He has a great chemistry with Palacio. Played much better because he has Shaq, Icardi, Palacio, Medel, and Brozovic.

He plays great around better players that can hide his weaknesses. Its why at Porto he looked so good. He was surrounded by better players who left him open.

Tho people who still complained about his game yesterday are just haters. Easily man of the match

He went from Moutinho, Falcao, Hulk, James Rodriguez to the bullshit we have had for the past couple seasons.

Are you guys really this reactionary and flat out daft? Guarin's problem has never been talent, it's the fact that he's an idiot. One game won't change that.. He's had many good games, unfortunately for us, they have always been shrowded by the sea of absolutely miserable performances that leave you just wondering what the actual fuck..

It's this inconsistency that has Inter well past the cusp of mediocrity.. We need consistently good players, not good once every four months, just so that his Columbian fan boys can come out of their holes.. Yesterday, isn't a sign of anything promising, it's an anomaly, just like when a broken clock is right twice a day.

It's one thing to not have a good game, and its another to kill off our already limited attacks by taking stupid shots from 40 meters out when you have open teammates, constant lose the ball by trying to dribble 4 players, or flat out being an idiot.

Few of our players have been consistently good and when they aren't having good games, they simply fade out and become invisible, see Hernanes. Guarin on the other hand, simply has to have his imprint on every single game, and it's pretty much always bad.

Agree with Nyall for once.

Same in the Icardi thread - one good game and he's the next top striker set for a big move again.

Yeah, Guarin needs to leave. One okay game doesn't change anything. He doesn't give a shit about the fans. He just says "I am interista" so everyone likes him and he gets more likes on his photos. It's ALL about him. "Icardi can do whatever he wants", taking long shots because he thinks he's the man (didn't he say "if I can shoot at goal, why not try to score wherever I am on the pitch?").

Dude even tried to engineer a move to Juventus FFS. I hate his personality and attitude towards Inter because it's so fake. Don't try to act like you bleed for the club when you don't. Just do your job. Thing is, he even fucks that up most of the time.

Guarin has been playing well for awhile now, in particular 2nd half against Juve he was excellent.

And mancini already give hernanes and guarin chances to fill one spot as muscle man..
And so far he is more effective than hernanes..

Well said except comparing him to a clock isn't accurate or even fair because at least a broken clock is consistent in some way.

Continuing over here Wallace, but since you brought up the efficiency with or without him, I decided to look at a few numbers.

So far this season we've played 22 games in the league. Guarin as made 16 appearances in that time frame (13 starts, 3 subs)

In the 6 games he didn't play in we scored a total of 4 goals and in 3 games we were shut out (Parma, Torino (Away fixture), and Fiorentina)

In the other 16 games where he's been on the field we've scored a total of 27 goals and he's been directly involved in 8 of them, and only shut out twice (Empoli & Torino(Home Fixture))

So the numbers are pretty blunt.

Off the field we score .67 goals/game

On the field we score 1.68 goals/game

Hate him all you want, but we're clearly better with him on the field, even amid his fucking retarded brain farts.
