Some more Frank wisdom:

Frank de Boer admits he was not ready to coach Inter but claims he was undermined by ‘poison’ in the dressing room.

Inter appointed De Boer on the eve of last season after Roberto Mancini walked away but sacked the Dutchman just 14 games into his tenure.

“You see Guardiola in his first year,” he told the Independent.

“[Gio] Van Bronckhorst at Feyenoord, when he lost seven games in a row. Everybody said he’s got to be fired. Next year he was champion.

“I had one friendly game against Celtic, and then I had to do my preseason in the season.

“That’s so difficult, especially at a club like Inter. Not only from the President you get some trouble, but also the press.

“Agents have a lot of influence. You have to really be prepared. And I wasn’t that well-prepared, at that moment, for Inter.

“You have three groups. One who is happy. Then players who are doubtful, but still feel they have a chance.

“And then, you have the losers at that moment, who will go to the second group and try to influence them.

“They are poison for your team. At Inter, and also at Crystal Palace, you’ve got to get rid of those players.

“That’s sometimes difficult, because you say, ‘I want him out’, but then the President says, ‘Yeah, but that costs me money.’ And in the end, you’re stuck with all the same players.”

So management knows who are the bad apples. Frank already told them. Their inaction, their fault.

On the other hand, since Gasperini has ceased to trash-talk Inter on every possible occasion, Frank seems ready to step into his shoes.

If he was willing to name names, he would have probably done it by now.

Anyways, Brozovic and kondogbia are the first two that come to mind

Not that I want to defend him or anything, but he felt betrayed by everyone, from management to players.

What would you do if you were asked about INTER`s dressing room? this season is also proving him right, unfortunately. 1 bad apple in the bucket can rot more apples, you need to get rid of those bad apples in order to be united as a team.

He was right. It also has to be said though that part of the job of a coach is to manage those situations, one way or another. Like, for instance, say to the president: "either me or that player. If you choose him, I'll resign". And if he wants to make a career as a coach he better learn fast those things

man de boer is salty af ... what did u do to him

Fucked his life up by appointing him after Mancini left with players having shitty condition and giving the best talent in Brazil, Gabigoooool. Then firing him because he was playing a youngster as a LB instead of Nagatomo.

Former Inter Coach Frank de Boer praises Mauro Icardi’s talent but “I certainly didn’t think he was the best possible captain”.

The striker had already been given the armband when the Dutchman took over, and was allowed to keep it for his 14 games in charge.

“I left it like that when I took over,” De Boer explained to Algemeen Dagblad.

“That said, I certainly didn’t think Icardi was the best possible captain. There are things about him that aren’t really worthy of a captain, like arguing with his own fans.

“I left him the armband though, because you don’t want to lose an important player right away if you take over in the middle of pre-season.

“The biggest leader on the team is the goalkeeper, Samir Handanovic, but to be clear I never had any problems with Icardi, he always played his part.

“I like him very much as a player. Right from the first training sessions you could see his ability, he scored from every angle with a good speed of execution.

“He’s scored 109 goals in 187 games, an average better than one in two. He’s been Serie A top-scorer twice in the past four years and that says it all.

“I’m very curious to see how PSV deal with him.”
