Moriero is an unsung hero at Inter. When he first came here, I really thought he was piece of shit. I had only seen him for a couple of matches, and he was really bad in those games, and I was prejudiced for months after that. Although, I could not help but fall in love with this right-winger that has smaller feet than I do, but could cross the ball perfectly. He was also hard-working, and was soon to become a regular for Italy.

If it wasn't for persistent injuries, Moriero would today be one of the great wingers of football. He had one remarkable season with Inter, but after that struggled with injuries throughout his entire career, and it became worse when he moved to Napoli. He vanished from the football scene, and I think he has retired by now.

An absolute fantastic player. One might call him a one-season-wonder, but it was truely injuries that stopped him from being Italy's Beckham.

Those how say bad things about Moriero, have you guys ever seen him play? IMO he's by far the best RW we've had in the past 15 years.

If my memory serves me, I think he played in France98. Him, Bergomi and Pagliuca. I think I was 11 or 12 years old.

Yup, he played in France '98 and he was a UEFA Cup winner with Inter on the same year.

Moriero was one of the hits at Inter and he was one of our loyal servants. I wonder where he is right now :p

i think u can't compare moriero with emre, micah_ken, coz emre usually was placed at center or left side not at right side,. about VDM, don't you remember his goal against arsenal? that was great ya..

Francesco Moriero: Blog: Legend of Tomorrow?

After a modest playing career that saw him perform at the highest level for Inter, Roma and Napoli, Francesco Moriero is the latest success story from Italy’s acclaimed coaching school at Coverciano.

In 2006, after obtaining his UEFA coaching licence, Moriero rather surprisingly took charge of Ivory Coast club Africa Sports for one season before returning to the peninsula as boss of Serie C1 side Lanciano.

Again after just one year at the helm he switched to fellow C1 side Crotone where his diligent work on the training ground came to fruition as his side clinched promotion to Serie B through the end of season play-offs.

The Pitagorici tifosi were looking forward to Moriero carrying on his good work in Italy’s second tier when yet again he jumped ship and took up the reigns at Frosinone, a small club from the Lazio region of Italy.

Eleven games into the current campaign and his side sit proudly on top of the Serie B championship, with Moriero earning plaudits from throughout the footballing fraternity.

His exciting style of play has seen his charges lose just two of their opening 11 fixtures and now they must be considered serious promotion contenders in what would surely be one of football’s greatest fairytales, on a par with the achievements of Chievo a few years ago.

On taking up his new post he promptly went back to his old stomping ground in Crotone to reacquaint himself with striker Caetano Calil. He and Gennaro Troianiello have been the main focal point of the team’s meteoric rise to pole position in the table, and it is no surprise that the Canarini are the Division’s top scorers as Moriero’s attacking policies guarantee goals throughout the whole squad.

Working within a tight transfer structure, Moriero has brought in two young starlets in midfielder Francesco Bolzoni from Inter and defender Lorenzo Del Prete from Siena, whilst other seasoned professionals from the lower reaches of the Italian game have added their invaluable experience to the team.

Moriero seemingly has the balance absolutely spot on, another testament to the Coverciano training academy that has produced some of the world’s greatest tacticians of the modern era.

The word on the street is that this exciting young tactician is bound for the top flight sooner rather than later and maybe, just maybe, the man from Lecce will be the next ‘Special One’.

Frosinone is where my family is from, so I have been following them for awhile now. They are having an amazing season, and I am hoping they didn't just have a burst of good form and slow down as the season goes on.

Unfortunately, they are no longer in first place, they lost to the new leaders, Ancona 3-1 last match. They are now 1 point behind them and amazingly 1 point ahead of Torino! They have managed to take 7 points against last years Serie A teams, wins against Reggina and Lecce, and a draw against Torino!

They also aquired former Inter youth, Bolzoni, on loan at the beginning of the season. I am hoping that they can hold on, seeing Frosinone in the Serie A would be simply amazing! Until they play Inter of course haha

It's about time. I've had enough of Milanisti and their OMG-our-Capello-Sacchi-graduates-are-WC-coaches wanks.
