I would, just for the fact that this is the right opportunity for us to make a move on the market while we also save face. Acerbi played better last season anyway, so I don't expect a high standard from him next season.
What right opportunity? Acerbi is as solid as we can get for our budget, he hasn't shown any sign of slowing down and at worst he's a solid backup (at least if we use objective assessment rather than feeling).

Not the smartest thing Acerbi had said, but if both parties have agreed to put it behind them then it shouldn't be much of a deal.

Acerbi should just train in peace and let this pass by, the more interviews he does, the more it'll damage his latter career.

On the plus side, maybe now Bisseck can play as CB

Maybe there are still a few folks out there who buy into this crap, but I'm pretty darn sure they're not the pro footballers in Europe's top leagues or successful folks. Nope, they're more likely just some losers – and Acerbi sure ain't one of 'em.

So, sorry guys, but I'm not buying this garbage. Sure, you might slip up and say something rude to a woman, but that doesn't mean you're against all women or some big sexist.
How can you and i support the same club? Lol
You think you're this macho red pill prophet? 😁😁😁

What's your endgame with these comments? What makes a racist, racist?

He didn't call him a fuckface, cuck, cunt, bitch, loser, cumdupster, weakling or whatever. He called him "negro". If you can't understand this, and why it's very very bad; then tell me your nationality or race, and I'm pretty sure I can find something on the internet, and I'll call you that from now on. Because, you know, I know a guy who stinks just like you, so yeah I'm cool. See? Whatever you say or whatever you do, I'll refer to you as the stinky bomb man, a man who stinks, your family stinks, your dad, your grandpa, everyone... Heck, even your mom.

No matter what post game incredible analysis you write, we will all laugh and point the finger at the stink you are.

See how it's not nice?

I chose the general stink word because I know nothing about you, but you get the idea. I'm not calling you stink out of respect, or because I'm mad at you or angry. If I was mad or angry I'd call you idiot or moron or something along those lines, but nope, I'm choosing to call you stink, because historically your nation has been called that for various reasons.

Lol I can't believe I got triggered at work from fif.

It's time to end this debate. I don't like Jane's tone at all. This will escalate soon and it's better if we leave it now. Let IM21 post updates and that's that for now.

Don't have one.

Yeah, but you don't say afterwards to the media I didn't say anything wrong or racist to him, denying it completely. He could have said I did him wrong, we decided it will stay on the pitch and that's it. Then we could point to some extent towards juan and say he didn't respected the deal.

But completely opposite happened and that's what triggered juan to go public. He could have dealt this with so much more intelligence, but I guess that's too much to ask of him if he made this many brain farts already.

You're not worth a reply. how old are you? 14?
If we were on the pitch, I would reply to you and kick your ass, but I wouldn't cry about what you said to me in the media

Yes, this was a good reminder.

Let's not start calling anyone names and stop the racist innuendo aswell.

Calling someone "negro" is not the same as bullying someone for being fat/big nosed/stinky/whatever.

Acerbi made two mistakes here. First was the one which happened on the pitch. It was already settled with JJ. Second was that he had to go and lie about it afterwards which makes it just worse. Didn't anticipate JJ would call out the lying. It was settled already for him but I understand he doesn't want to pass the lying because it's pretty delicate matter.

Jesus... what investigation... Frankly, even if оur guy is guilty, now it's Acerbi's word vs JJ's word.

If there is no clear video/audio where Accerbi insults JJ, I do not see how FIGC could punishes him hard. Or, highly unlikely because it could finishes his career at Inter, Acerbi to admit that he used the "N word".

All in all, this case drags too much attention simply because the "racist" is playing for one of the top teams.

I agree I don't see them giving him some very heavy ban without lip read evidence.

Then on the other hand they need to do something because the optics are terrible. JJ came out with his response, calling out the lying and it would look TERRIBLE if FIGC decided to go with the victim-blaming angle by saying there's no evidence, effectively saying "we don't believe you JJ, it's just that you might be lying here".

Because it's extremely hard to believe JJ would suddenly invent something like this in the middle of the game and there ARE evidence of him complaining about it in the match.

I don't think this is drawing too much attention. I think this might be a good learning moment for Italians, that calling someone "negro" is not nice, it's not okay.

Exactly my second point in my original post. The further he stays away from interviews, the better. He's massively shooting himself in the foot the more he opens his mouth.

Most likely he'll be fined and suspended as it's Moratta League.

all in all, I don't think Acerbi's a racist, he's just dumb.

And even if he stays at Inter for another year, there's still a need for another CB.

Wow... I blame myself for giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Also, on topic: it's not like the National Team just chose to suspend him without having a transparent convo with him.

They didn't have some NPC type of convo to whether he did call him or not "negro";

Person a: he did it?
Person b: he did.
Person a: kick from NT?!
Person b kick, yes.

If he didn't call him anything remotely close to "negro" I don't think they would've kicked him out of the NT.

So yeah. I just hope he apologies publicly. I wouldn't expect nothing else, especially (and this is what bothers me the most) by someone who has been humbeld by life so much. Who's been through the thing he has...

It takes real courage to come out and own it. I hope he does that. If he doesn't, the dressing room chemistry will be put to risk. There's no way someone with dignity will let that go easily.

Now you're doing exactly what shouldn't be done, and that's automatically believing the supposed victim. We have no idea if Juan Jesus is lying or misunderstood what was said, just because he claims he isn't or didn't. It's a lose-lose situation for Acerbi, no matter what he does. If he doesn't claim innocence and stays silent, everyone will believe he's a racist who's afraid to admit his faults, and if he claims he didn't say anything racist and receives pushback, he's seen as a lying racist.

Let them investigate - no matter what happens, Acerbi's reputation, at the very least, is forever tarnished. Maybe justly, maybe unjustly; we don't know yet.

For context, Juan Jesus said something similar in 2014

"The Brazilian claimed to have been racially abused by the Argentine attacker Gonzalo Higuain, who was then at Real Madrid and is now at Napoli. This is his story: “During a normal play, I stole the ball from Higuain. At that moment, he started saying to me: ‘Go away, n*****, monkey, go away’. At first, I was puzzled. For about ten seconds, I wondered why a guy known throughout the world for his quality and personality would do this. It saddened me; I felt helpless, I didn’t know what to do.”

Now I'm on the side of "what would Juan Jesus gain from lying in the scenario?" - I'm also on the side of "if Acerbi said something vile, why would you, as someone who supposedly experienced a racially motivated 'attack,' just shrug it off as something that happens on the pitch after complaining to the referee?" But I'm having a hard time believing Higuain would spontaneously begin loudly shouting racial slurs in a friendly match simply because Jesus took the ball away from him. In any case, nothing came of it, but at the very least it shows that Jesus isn't afraid to make accusations in the public sphere. Who knows.

Lose a scudetto over this.

Please breathe in, breathe out.

Repeat.

We would win a scudetto playing Alexis Sanchez at CB until the end of the season.
I’m not actually saying we will lose the Scudetto if we play De Vrij. I’m saying I’d rather lose it playing him then win it playing with someone who would make those comments.

It’s a figure of speech not a literal prediction.

The racism issue in football is multitude worse than it is in Basket, so it’s not all that comparable. While it’s definitely wrong, bad behaviour and discriminatory calling someone white ass, it’s just nowhere near as bad as the other way around, largely because of the history and what white people did for centuries towards others and even built a whole pseudo science that was uses too justify it.

The other has a layer the other simply doesn’t have.
Oh, I just knew you'd ultimately arrive there with all your crying about a thousand different "isms" and pearl-clutching about equality. Just shut the fuck up you complete idiot. You can't pretend to care about racism and prejudice, and then brush it aside or dimish the impact when it happens to white people. Racism is racism no matter towards who - saying otherwise is academized gobbledygook to cover for minorities who want to be able to be racist to white people with no consequences.
