People don’t necessarily know if they are Subconsciously racist or have deep rooted racist views, that is kinda my point. So it’s rather hard to know exactly, that said I just don’t think it’s all that plausible that someone who doesn’t have some questionable stereotypical views in this case Acerbi, would so lightly use such to hurt another, they are far likelier to use sexist, disability slur… again you typical see a link between using such slur and stereotypical views of a given group, the more your made aware and become part of your view that it’s problematic the less likely you are to use it.

We really need to get away from all such banal stereotypical slur and most of us is unfortunately guilty of one form or another.

Reality is it’s actually no fun being a person of colour/women/disabilities and people using that as slur, it’s just really really unpleasant. Therefore I really think we need to acknowledge it’s a problem and that it’s to some degree also rooted in views whether it’s conscious or a subconscious level. Also once it’s made conscious we can work on it, if we want to.

Personally I much rather strive to become a better person than stay a shithead, apropos questionable slur. But unfortunately some will keep on insisting that’s okay using such as long it’s not deeply rooted, I don’t agree with that stance as it’s equally hurtful to the recipient and we really should stop deliberately hurting each others feelings and it goes for all of us and even more so when it comes to potential role models.

Footballers are not the smartest guys (except some of them), and they earn millions on very young age. So, most of them are not focused on improving their personalities, but rather on having a good live style. There are billions of people and some of them are just nasty. You cannot change them. Of course, some words could be banned, but this won't change the people from inside ,it just will make them more creative in abusing or mocking.
But, I don't like how somebody just throws an accusation in the air, and everybody jump to tear apart the accused, without care is he guilty or not.
I don't defend Acerbi here, I'm just speaking in general.

I don't really give a fuck if he is a neonazi as long as he keeps it to himself and delivers on the pitch. I'm sure there are at least couple of psychopaths and low empathy fuckers in every team that have urges even worse than racism, but they keep it hidden. And that's my problem with all of this, not racism between two privileged millionaire fucks, although it is inappropriate, but him being stupid enough in today's climate to try and provoke a player on that level. You can potentially lose sponsors, ruined the great atmosphere in the team etc...

Oh well, let's see how the investigation goes, hopefully we don't have to pull the trigger on his ass come summer.

Where did this whole Acerbi saying something racist come from? Juan Jesus did not specifically say that Acerbi racially abused him. Materazzi did not say anything racist to rile up Zidane. Sounds to me the media, as usual, just played the easiest card to play these days. I'd wait until the investigation is over before crucifying him like some of you.

innocent until proven guilty but Acerbi better be honest about what he said. If it’s corroborated he was racially abusive he needs to serve a serious punishment, including a contract termination if he doubles down on it. But let’s not get too hasty until there are more facts. I will say, Juan Jesus doesn’t seem the type to come out and make accusations like this without some cause.. he seems to respect inter and the fans too. If he’s exaggerating details that is also very shitty. We’ll have to wait and see.

I would guess he said something racially abusive insult but doesn't feel like it is one. I have hard time believing JJ's reaction during the match was in bad faith trying to get red to Acerbi or something. He said after the match Acerbi apologized during the match and "what happens on the pitch stays on the pitch". That kind of statement doesn't sound like it was nothing but JJ didn't want to make a big scene out of it.

Of course the agent then tells Acerbi not to admit anything since it apparently cannot be proven (no lip read of what Acerbi said), because the agent knows the legal/rules side of this ie. could result a heavy ban.

I'm a bit disappointed in Acerbi. I understand on his perspective he doesn't want to admit word by word what he said, if and when it apparently was something which can be interpreted as racially abusive since it indeed could result into a heavy ban. But man, what an idiot.
