so the balance in FM isnt right this year,a round bosmans.

normally I'm fairly flat between value of players bought and sold - I'm currently £1.4bln bought, £4.7 billion sold. I've invested like £700mil into an investment fund.... its too easy to sign world class players on bosman, and then sell them like 6-12 months later for like £100mil.

Fun fact: I've loaned Gabriel Barbosa in the winter to Ajax in my first season at Inter and 3 days later Frank de Boer becomes coach of Ajax.

Offcourse he doesn't get any playing time. One time he played one minute so the relationship is as good as in real life.

Yes, and I have no problems with it. It's easy acces and you can find in Steam also updates made by SI and by fans. With FM18 I downloaded an special update with alot of legens being teenagers so for example Crespo, Cambiasso, Samuel, Veron and Javier Zanetti were youngsters playing in Argentina, Ronaldo in Brazil etc etc was funny to play with all these legends again.


This weekend I sold Handanovic for 60 million! to PSG not a bad deal I think. But now I have a problem: I don't want to buy Oblak or Ter Stegen etc etc. So now I'm scouting Vodisek, Onana and I want to try and get Radu back.

Does anyone have experience with Radu being the first goalkeeper in FM19? If so how is he developing? He had 4,5 potential star but now after 1 year of being the first goalkeeper at Genoa he only has 3 stars left.

I played with Radu in my Sir Alex Challenge with Genoa and he's pretty good

Anyone already tried the new FM? How are the players of Inter? I've heard Skriniar is allmost impossible to keep in the beginning of the game? How good is Sensi for example? Because last FM he wasn't that good so I'm curious.

First time in over 20 years that I won't bother buying it. They keep making it worse and adding shitty "features" for no reason when they refuse to fix or enhance existing ones.
Their database used to be the best thing but in the last 5 years it just seems like personal agendas are taking over and some research groups have too much power.

Very disappointed with them in the past 3 years specifically.

FM18 was shite. hardly any tactics work unless 3 upfront and too much power to confidence. i won11 in a row once then lost 6 in a row

Actually the tactics and the overall match experience is one of the very good things about the games. The people who struggle with that usually try to overthink things or are just not good enough. I've never had a problem setting up 1-3 tactics for each team I managed and was rarely unsuccessful at a team (ie I almost always either beat expectations or met them) and I've tried several paths.
Apart from the initial difficulty to get the players to listen to you (with low exp and rep), the tactics do what they say. It's not that hard really. And it's not CM03-04 where you win every game with ease. The game is quite realistic in those regards.

The problem lies with some "details" and some other things that make it too easy/boring after 3 seasons where for example you have 50 kids with PA over 175 coming out each season. That means you have 50 players each year that could be as good as Kevin De Bruyne or something.... You don't even need 11 of those to create a team that cannot lose.

An update won't change the "researchers" and "scouts".

It's insane how bad the quality control of the database is. And that is the biggest selling point of this game. The rest is mostly revolved around using it.

they are pretty good with mid-season updates. For example, they really bumped Skriniar a few seasons ago. I wouldnt be surprised if Barella got a small bump, and Sensi got a major one.

because of the production timelines, they're probably baking in player stats no later than early Sept for the print runs and final debugs, so its not 'current' per se

Yeah, they really downgraded him huh. Sensi and Barella got bumped a bit, as did Lautaro. Disappointed they didnt bump Bastoni

Why the fuck is there like automated substitutions happening in my games? Only just started a save, played 2 preseason games so far. Both games a couple of my players have been subbed off for no fucking reason?

I thought his stats were a bit shit.

I mostly use Eriksen for 1 season and then sell him for 70M to Man Utd.

I'm playing a 4-1-2-1-2, narrow midfield diamond with lots of pressing. Was going to sign a back up striker but might just keep esposito then for that role

Yeah the wages and transfer fees are out of this world! I once had Gagliardini demanding something like 700.000 a month, when I declined he put in a transfer request. :chan: ( I sold him to Arsenal for 35M and with that money got Tonali)
Same goes for Vidal, I wanted to buy him from Barcelona, they asked 40M! and his salary is more than 1M a month, Barca can go fuck themselves even in a computer game.

That's why I put a lot of money in my youth Academy and scouting, you can get a lot of gems when you have a good scouting system because if you have to buy good players you need crazy amounts of money to get them.


I would suggest to get Tagliafico from Ajax, maybe Unuvar at the start of the game for free! I have some more young players in my game with Inter so when I get back from the office tonight I will give you some players to scout.
