Well, there are some annoying issues regarding Inter for example. Still havent looked at the db for a full picture and comparison to others. But for example Icardi's clause is 110m and expires 15/7/2021. If you don't renew him by January, he's gone. AI does not do it. User can do it as Icardi accepts a minor increase without any clauses. Then there's Miranda who wants to leave. You cannot reject his will, and if he can transfer the whole squad goes crazy as he's a leader and everyone is just upset about your "decision"... If you don't accept and he gets pissed, same effect. Everyone hates you. This can apply to a range of teams of course. On my new save I managed to renew Miranda and he did not get homesick for some reason. No clue if it was fixed with the last hotfix or if it was just a side effect of renewal.

There are many little things that just go wrong.

As for training, they made an overhaul. Tactics have also been enhanced and they have implemented several 'styles' that you can build on. So no more trying to be like Guardiola or Simeone or Sarri. You have a preset and you can build on it. And they've also added to that as well to the point that it now feels like you can create your own football style and philosophy. Still no idea about the implementation of this but it seems okay thus far.

I think FM hasnt yet built in the ability to include expiration of clauses, which is why the Icardi thing happens I guess.

I think Icardi clause thing is already pointed out in SI forum, so good chance they will fix it before release.

Also as usual EPL players are overrated a lot which makes game bit shit. Having club fans as researchers means they will overrated their players no matter how much they try to be unbiased. For other leagues think they have 1 head researcher who rates all the players. For PL and lower leagues they have 1 researcher for each club.

They would need to add the functionality which tbh would probably be a big enough change that it is a feature in the next game. It took years of things like coownerships and loan obligations before they were added to the game.

This is Icardi for me after he expressed that he wants to "move to a bigger club", a few weeks after signing an extension... Ridiculous. And all the sitters he keeps missing. Those 2 goals you see were pretty much tackles on the line or something like that. My league run has been pathetic but at least I made it to the CL quarters (vs Atletico).

I renewed everyone that matters, only had issues with Icardi. Gave Skriniar a raise, same with Brozo while scrapping that clause, extended Miranda for a season, removed Icardi's stupid 110m clause.

Skriniar got a bid in January but he didn't care that I rejected it. Same for Icardi though, but it was Arsenal and Chelsea. Had it been Real or Barcelona he'd be whining I guess.

It seems that the game is coded in a way where players just want to play for a top 6 PL team, Barcelona or Real Madrid. I've heard many complaints about this where Tottenham or Arsenal come for someone like Icardi or Skriniar and he gets unsettled.

I think it all depends on reputation of the club/league and what value those researchers have put in. It's not hard coded though, just that they give initial value and then it changes based on performance.

End of the first season.. I couldn't keep politano but signed martial and chiesa and gaya. Going all in on Martinez too as I sold icardi.

They haven't fixed injuries bug. So many players are injured, most of them are in training. It was reported during Beta version, still it's not fixed.

Bosmans seem much more likely in this game than before. I'm 11 seasons in and I've got £1 billion in the bank, mainly frmo selling bosman players. For example, signed Sterling, and sold him 6 months later for 50 mil. I sold £600m of players in one season without any real first team impact.

Martial was a great bosman for me - sold him to Real 3 years later for like 100 mil. Picked up loads of free/cheap regens who've all been worth a huge amount of money.

I've started a game with Ajax. I love the way you can prepared your team with specific trainingschedules etc the only downside was that I had alot of serieus injured players and i heard this happened to alot of people. Any people here who had the same problem?

I saw that Inter was bottom last after losing the first 4 games, sacking Spalletti during January and now that crazy Jorge Jesus is the manager of Inter they finished at the 5th place just before Milan. :notbad: But I can't let this happen so I will start a game with Inter this weekend.

After thorough checks of the db in the Editor, I can safely say that it's no coincidence that the PL clubs are vastly overrated and on top of that, everyone else is severely underrated. The player ratings are almost criminal. I can provide various 'statistics' about them but they are meaningless without context and you are missing important jokes like where Lallana >>> Alejandro Gomez.

Didn't need to witness Liverpool beating PSG on my save by 5+ goals in 10 out of 15 attempts (thought it'd be interesting to see the possible outcomes for random unrelated events and quit/loaded 15 times both legs just to check) in the CL quarters.

PSG managed at best 2 marginal home wins in 15 attempts. Only won away once, but losing 9-1, 7-0, 6-1, 5-0, 8-2 etc was far more common than a 2-0, 3-0 or a draw in that particular instance.

Don't even wanna talk about how Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea manhandle Real Madrid and Barcelona in the 2nd season.

If you don't edit this out, you're just playing an English fantasy game made by the English for English players or PL fanboys.

Player and club ratings, finances, reputation and several other things need sorting to make this game realistic. Barcelona and Real Madrid starters get unsettled when you reject Tottenham bids ffs

Yeah, lot of injuries even in my save. Same when I played beta too. I'm assuming it's a bug and good chance it will be logged on SI forum, but there is a chance it's to do with intensity of your tactics. I played with high intensity, so players are gassed out. So their injury risk is high.

I lost few key players for 3-4 months, it's annoying.
