Henrique Dalbert said he will “absolutely” celebrate a goal against Inter and claimed Fiorentina was “the best choice I could’ve made.”
The left-back arrived on loan from Inter in August and this Sunday he is up against the Nerazzurri in Serie A.
Fiorentina need the points and the 26-year-old claimed he wouldn’t hesitate to celebrate if he scores against his former teammates.
“Absolutely,” he told the Corriere dello Sport. “It’s a question of respect towards Fiorentina, who believed in me, and the fans, who always supported me.”
After playing only 26 games in Serie A for Inter, the new coach Antonio Conte decided to let him leave on loan last summer and Dalbert said it has proven to be what he wanted.
“That’s life,” he told the Corriere dello Sport. “The coach made his decision and I wanted to cut out more space.
“The experience at Fiorentina was the best choice I could’ve made.”
As Viola sit 13th in the League, the pressure is increasing for coach Vincenzo Montella, but the Brazilian defender claimed it doesn’t change anything for the players.
“I don’t think about the fact that it can help the coach. I am only focused on winning,” he added. “We all rate him, he is a fantastic coach, a great person. On the pitch, I also run for him, like the rest of the team will do.”
