Surely it's the other way around? Klaassen might be mediocre but still plays nearly every match for club and country while Van De Beek is a fucking pussy who has played about an hour of football in the last 4 years?

With all due respect to Ajax, but it's much easier to play a lot for Ajax than it is for Manchester. Also, it has been a shit transfer from start for Van De Beek. Klaassen went abroad and really didn't flourish at all.

The ceiling of Van De Beek is much higher than Klaassen, but dunno honestly. If I were to choose, I'd always go for Donny. If there's a small chance he gets to his former level - we have a big gem in our midfield. Klaassen is already finished. Might as well get Daley Blind for shits n giggles.

The guy has a respectable career , scored shit loads of goals for a midfielder and for sure its much better than Gagliardini as an option in emergency and is just 30 ffs not 40.

I think Klaasen fits the bill as both a box to box midfielder and a "forward" option in case we go for a 3-5-1-1 situation.
