This would be one of the worst buys we makes if it is true. I'm not even talking about his skill as a player, but rather the fact that we don't have the money to spend needlessly. We really don't need this guy considering we have a lot of midfield options.
He is turning 32 years old and also 2.5/3 million per year? I would say even 2 million per year is too much for a 32 year old player who wouldn't start. I would expect Kuzmanovic wage for him (not comparing their skill, but in terms of the role they should play). Also a 3 year contract is ridiculous. Miranda is also older, but at least I can understand. He's 2 years younger than Melo and is actually a great player.
This would be a needless signing for a lot of money. Aren't we supposed to start selling soon in order to balance our spending? There is no need to waste money on a benchwarmer, instead of going for a second striker/winger or even a fullback.
