Agree with this. I watched Galatasaray whilst Mancini was there and Melo stood out as a solid enough player who will work hard for the team, although clearly his "commitment" can spill over into recklessness. The Galatasaray fans love him and he has just helped them win a domestic double. He has the potential to be a decent signing, nothing special but I don't think he is a bag of shit/Podolski.
