Before we move over to vBulletin, a move that i'm sure would be beneficial in the long run, has anybody figured out how we are going to do that? There's a great possibility that we might have to start from scratch if an import of the database to a new server or installing of new said software.

They have a converter software available which converts phpBB to vBulletin. It's called vBulletin ImpEX or something. I'm sure they know everything about it at vbulletin.org. You can do the transfer without losing any data.

Would love to help out guys. But its impossible for me to get money to you guys. I can't mail money from here to overseas, my dads time gets stolen every few weeks in the mail so I doudt money won't be stolen. I don't have pay pall and there is no way my dad will let me use his internet banking account or credit card to send money over seas.

Wow, lots of issues has been raised here but first of all, TIMMEH!!! :heart:

Of course all has been planned by the Grand Master SuperHan. I have e-mailed vBulletin and they say they will allow us to download the converter from phpBB to vBulletin for free. It says that all posts, topics, designs, PMs and ranks (Moderators and such) will be imported. I have asked one of their staff to inspect our forum and to see if there could be any problem in importing the forum to vBulletin. Once we get their confirmation, we'll move to vBulletin.

Yopi, yes, I have a BCA account. If you want to donate I can PM you my account number later.

Gismo, to be honest I'm not sure either on how vBulletin will improve the site but my technical buddies, JimTimmeh, agreed unanimously that it is better. Perhaps there are some stuff that I don't know since I'm clueless at technology. But it has the very useful function which allow members to attach files.

Hamed, don't worry, the Singaporean members are under good care. I clean their cage and feed them with proper meal everyday.

Guys, the wheel has been set in motion and I can just smell a vBulletin-powered Forza Inter! If I may just have some confirmation from you about the donation, here are the list so far:

I love you guys all. :kiss: I can 'lend' my money out and we can buy the vBulletin for 3 years if you guys can give me the word that you will donate again in the future. But as Jake said, there could be a better software that could be launched in the next 2 years. So, I need your opinion here. Do you want to buy vBulletin for 1, 2 or 3 years? I personally vote for 3 because I hate changes and I don't wanna do too many of them.

And the next issue is, how do you want to transfer the money. Here are the methods that I can receive them, in order of preference:

- Meeting me in real life. Of course, only Jupiter (Scutzon) can do that.
- Transfer to my bank account. May be costly due to the transfer fee.
- PayPal.
- Western Union.
- Mail.


So, I will update you guys again!

I think we can raise even more money if more members get involved. Maybe some of the regulars don't know about this thread, so maybe a link to it in your signature would be good.

I also think it will be better to go for the 3-year plan. I want the forum to be as reliable and robust as it can be. I will surely donate yearly if you pay the fees from your own money, you have my words as long as I am alive. I will also put a note in my will for my inheritors to pay you back.

The vBulletin guy has just confirmed that it is possible to transfer the forum without any problem. He says it will take around 1 hour to do so. I have one final question that I want to ask him and once I have my reply, and your donation, we will buy the software.

So, people who want to donate, please tell me how do you want to send the money to me! Btw, I have change the preference order of methods of receiving donaiton in my post.
