Tbh this is kinda sad for Milan. I mean yes fuck them and their entire club, but I'd like to see them at least be competitive and not the bottom feeders they currently.

I hope they do at least make a couple of decent signings. Just fuck off our targets and use your own scouts

Apparently, Schneiderlin is close to Arsenal for 24m pounds. Talk about getting deals done early!

Seems like its btw Man Utd and Arsenal for him now.

Is Faouzi Ghoulam good? I saw that Arsenal bid 15m euros for him.

I think Ghoulam is one of the better fullbacks in Serie A. Good defensively, fast, has a very hard shot.

Don't feel sorry for them at all right now. They can be "competitive" again once we get back into CL comfortably. Right now 3 spots is too little for anymore competition.

I bet they will buy Benassi this window.

Apparently a lot of clubs are going after Benassi.

Chievo close to Abel Hernandez for about 6m. That could be a steal if he ever rediscovers his form.

So Bayern are signing Douglas Costa for around 30-35mil.. Iv'e been going on about this guy for the last 2 years, it's about time a big club signed him. Didn't really expect him to go for such a fee though.

He's going to turn out to be a real star for them, if given the proper chances that is.

I like Douglas Costa and I'm happy for him but these prices are ridiculous, no way is he worth more than 25.

Yeah I didn't expect such a high fee. In the future he will be worth that easily, if he continues to grow

I dont know if this is a true rumor but iv been shouting for years for him to fix arsenal's mid. PL football has always disgusted me somewhat but if him and alexis team up i will have to catch at least a few matches. :work:

Smart move from Juve. Vidal's strength is his engine, and as he ages that will diminish. Plus from a tactical perspective I think it makes sense too. When they had Pirlo playing in the midfield they needed someone in the AM position who could defend, and it didn't matter that Vidal wasn't that creative as Pirlo could create from deep. However, with Pirlo gone they probably need someone in that AM position that is more offensive.

releasing vidal and tevez and pirlo in the same window seems more risky than anything else

also im sure he wont diminish that easy at all. complete midfielders like him adapt their game to their physical capabilities. - inbefore falcao law :work:

Well, losing the best player in the league in Tevez will be a huge loss. However, as I said it makes sense tactically for them to allow Vidal to leave(I assume they're getting over 30m), and also given the strength they have in their midfield.

They would struggle to create enough with Pirlo gone, and Tevez gone too with Vidal at AM. Of course they could play him as a CM, but with Marchisio, Pogba, Khedira, Pereyra and Asamoah there they decided that Vidal is expendable.

It'll be interesting to see who they play at AM, or whether they switch to 4-3-3
Maybe:

Lichtsteiner - Bonucci - Chiellini - Evra
Khedira - Marchisio - Pogbaa
Morata - Mandukic - Dybala

If they were smart they would find a replacement for Evra

And you're right, complete players do find a way to make things work as they get older, but Vidal isn't complete player. He's a bit of an idiot. Other than that I think he is a fantastic player.

lol, Arsenal fans:

I totally understand concerns related to Vidal's mooted price tag in light of his age and recent injury record

I find it hard to believe that we are really in the market for Vidal. Bit too old, too many injuries, not proven in the Premier League and too expensive? Surely Schneiderlin would have been a safer bet

I would be surprised if Wenger spent big money on a 28 year old with a history of knee issues.

Premiership experience is important in the sense that you know a player can hack it in the league. There are plenty of examples of players that were highly rated, but failed in the Premier League. In this sense Schneiderlin is a known factor, while Vidal is completely unproven.

If you see him as a box to box, do you seriously think Wenger would spend £20+m on him?

Vidal is a tenacious player who will bring some steel against teams like Stoke and Chelsea. If 20M is the price then it is a no brainer.

Cech for 11m and Vidal for somewhere around 25m brings us to a 36m total.

Vidal is a dm.
Arteta could be a box to box player in Italy at this age, cause of their slow tempo league. But not here.

EPL fans are so arrogant and deluded (there are exceptions obviously. Monster is a rational intelligent guy)

lol, Arsenal fans:

We have Arsenal fan here (Bergkamp) who is as grounded as they get but if you check their forum it's complete lol worthy. Anyone without any knowledge on game thinks that Arsenal are some Barca type club winning everything in sight.

Vidal will be a dream signing for any club in the PL and any club in the world. He is just 28, at his peak, I don't think Juve will sell him on cheap. Hopefully they don't. Looks like we are not in for him, so I don't want to see him in PL. He will improve any team in the league.

Btw, re arrogant PL fans, we have seen many saying same in this forum too, saying someone can't hack in Serie A as PL is just kick and rush whereas Serie A is tactically very superior and defensively light years ahead. It's just common with every league downplaying other league. It's just narrow minded view (not sure why people are even bothered about it). Some players adapt and some players can't and it also depends on how the team is set up.

Yeah, there definitely are some deluded Serie A fans too who are still living in the 1990's. However, I do think the ratio of rational to deluded amongst Serie A fans isn't quite as bad. And honestly I understand that it's largely the EPL commentators and their pro-EPL propaganda that causes a lot of premier league fans to be so ignorant.

As for Vidal in England, I have no doubt that he would succeed and improve any team in that league. My perspective on it not being terrible for Juve if he leaves wasn't based on his talent, or lack there of. If they get enough money for him though it makes sense to allow him to leave. However, they shouldn't really accept anything less than 40m euros given the market right now.
