Hear me out, Super League but without EPL Teams, it was insulting that they would have the most teams to begin with.

This shit will be back now that European Commission ruled that FIFA and UEFA have used their market dominance position to block free competition.

I don't like UEFA at all, I hate FIFA, but this Super League BS won't help anyone, it will possibly ruin everything even more than it's already ruined in the long term.

Is there really much of a difference between new CL format and Super League?

As long as there are no permanent spots i am like zero fucks given about who prevails in this saga. I was always strongly against Super League but new format has also killed any interest i had for the competition.

We’re back baby - awful monetary led football VS awful monetary led football

I am on the side of whoever makes Inter richer and more competitive. Like Il Drago said, the new UCL format is the same thing anyway so who gives a shit

Super League should be in everyone's interest, except maybe english, they are doing good. But i m expecting them to enter once everyone is there from other countries.

I'm just hoping there will not be fans to virtue signal and protest like last time.

Then call for the British law to act... and destroy their precious product.

Unless the Americans that are involved get bamboozled and get their own authorities to snuff their noses in that rabbit hole, it'll continue to be a ML haven.

If the english clubs enter they will still have their own money and the super league money. The only one here getting fucked will be the small teams in italian and spanish league. While the super league team will get a bunch of money, 85% of their leagues will still be poor... as i said before, if a team decides to play the super league, the teams in the league need to demand that team not to play the national league, as it makes zero sense for them to even play agains a super league teams.

SL is a game of power between a few clubs and FIFA/UEFA -
Nothing, and I repeat nothing, will be in favour for increased competition or in favour for fans of the game.

SL will also detach certain clubs from their country, city - I suspect to see Inter play against Madrid in Miami or Shangai - not in Milan with their own tifosi.

As long as this stops us being outspend by EPL relegation battlers I am all for it.
It will harder for EPL teams to join this with the UK not part of the EU.

This. This changes nothing in terms of scales between big teams in league X and EPL.

The end result MIGHT be fucking up the whole pipeline of young players from all over Europe as the money for the development will be centralized to few places (the academies which are funded by the richest ESL clubs). There will be less money in the grassroot levels.

Irrespective of how Inter would perform in the super league, and the somewhat attraction of watching great clubs play great clubs more consistently, its just fundamentally anti-sporting. Also, to be honest, many of us enjoy watching big teams fuck up against small clubs (e.g. Juve), it'd be a real shame to lose that element in sporting.

That being said, I can also see the argument in favour in terms of trying to drive more international appeal and make the sport more attractive

The thing is, there will be no more FFP and all that pffff from UEFA. Everyone will have the opportunity to make transfers for whatever they are ready to spend, not for what they are limited to due to some focking rules which suit only EPL's ambitions to rule the continent. I bet Superleague will require each team to play 30+ matches per season. Therefore they will have to refuse to play in their domestic leagues unless they are ok with their players getting exhausted af.

It's not how that works, though. If you just look at our financial situation last year, you would never have guessed we played cl final or that we are competing on a serious level at all. Money can only take you so far in football, competence is the main thing. We currently have competence but what puts us down is overall financial situation where we are basically in survival mode. Even if money isn't distributed evenly among clubs, it doesn't matter, cos what will the club like city do ? Spend two billions instead of one? And we will still play on par with them, just like last season. But the point is not for long, cos you can only get away with a strategy of selling your best players and trying to replace them every year for a certain period of time...

Italian clubs with the money from the super league need to become man city, chelsea of seria a. They need to poach every single talented player playing in this league and not let them go to england, spain or wherever. Sure transfers like hojlund, tonali etc will still happen but at least italians will have a possibility to make a proper offer and not some loan bullshit or wait to sell their best players like right now.
