Don't let this distract you from the fact that Eddie Salcedo scored against Fiorentina.

#SuperLeague has been officially SUSPENDED

- English clubs have left (Chelsea too, official soon).
- Inter have left, AC Milan are set to leave.
- Juventus and Spanish clubs: waiting for official position.

The whole #SuperLeague has been stopped to “reshape the project”.

Thank you for providing forum with news about Super League in the last two days. Great work IM21.

Meanwhile, Agnelli’s words have been published and now seem a little out of touch with the situation.

“There is a blood pact between the clubs, we are going forward,” assured the Juventus President.

“This project has a 100 per cent possibility of success.”

48 hrs and it collapses. Just like Rube's CL knockout rounds vs " not historic enough" teams.

Ceferin is Agnellis son godfather and he stabbed the russian. Russians won't forget it 100%, Agnelli will pay one way or another.

Now, if anyone still remembers we have a matchday vs Spezia. FIF creators can soon lock this thread and put it to archieves.

Only hope now is that this fiasco doesn't strengthen UEFA's hand further. And more importantly it doesn't lead to more favours for English clubs. If that happens, I am done with football forever.

It hardly will. The idea of the superleague doesn't go away just like that. Big clubs will keep squeezing more from UEFA.

More from the same journalist of Radio Marca.

The Super League expected a war against UEFA and FIFA, but they didn't expect the extreme reactions from fans, players, politicians and celebrities.

They can't be that stupid can they? This just shows they have zero connection with the fans and couldn't care less about them(we already knew this but this is so in the open). They kicked us in the balls and shit all over us.

Don't you think this was the plan from the beginning? If even the players/managers don't want this ESL why the hell these owners would go through with it? For me it's hard to believe that only the owners wanted this and kept it a secret for everybody at their clubs. You would think they talked about it before they made the announcement.

They sure as hell didn't talk about this to anyone. It would have leaked immediately if owners / top management would have talked to lower levels in the clubs, let alone to players and coaches.

It was just an utter failure.

But I don't think they backed out only because of the massive reaction to it. English clubs backed out because they were threatened by politicians/officials/state by not allowing to give work permits to players Super League clubs would sign. That sounds more credible than the fan outrage as the only reason of backing out.

I need to specify my opinion more. I mean that the outrage of the whole football world surely had its own effect fore sure. Then that allowed and pushed the officials in Britain to threat these foreign owners, because the officials knew they have the backing of the whole community, fans, the whole football industry in the country behind them.

After what happened with Super League, Perez and Agnelli look like clowns. Our management fucked it up but at least they were smart enough to remain silent and they even protected Conte by cancelling his press conference.

Btw you heard it first on FIF ;)

Italian and Spanish clubs desperately need the money so there's no chance they will back down. Only English clubs could stop this league and even not all of them. The Americans of Man Utd and Liverpool want to turn this league into the European version of NFL. Levy and Kroenke are as greedy as it gets. Only City and Chelsea could back down as they don't need the money.

There's no contract that doesn't have an exit clause. And if there's anyone who can afford it, it's Man City owner.

That's a good point as everything in football is leaked but this thing wasn't but I try to imagine what these guys where expecting from their own managers/players. I suppose I'm very naive but it's hard to believe that only the owners/CEO's knew about this. Are the owners allowed to just sign in a new competition etc? Don't they need to let their shareholders/sponsors etc know about it?

And you are right, they never gave a shit about the fans when the ticket prices where going to the roof, when they played on unholy times and days and now all of the sudden the fans are the main reason they back out of it. Yeah right. :D

There's no official announcement from the club yet. As soon as there is one we will.

Owners own the club. Shareholders and owners are the same thing. If you own something, you are the shareholder.

CEO has the credentials to sign to a new competition, yes for sure (with the backing from the owner, of course). Players and coaches, even directors in different levels are just employees there. They didn't know shit for sure.
