Wtf? In what sense "easily our best player in the midfield" ??? He has showed absolutely terrible performances recently. He's good when there's no tempo in the game and he can just sit.

He's good when the rest of the midfield are pedestrian, when they decide to contribute a little he shines. Cambiasso is among the best DM's in the world.

Hmm, did you talked about Cambiasso or Motta? :D

I talked about Motta.

Nevertheless, neither of them should be Inter starters, if Inter ever wants to win CL. Sooner Moratti realize this, the better.

Cambiasso is a necessary 'evil'. Motta I agree with you :D. We bought him too soon. We should have gone for Hamsik with Ibramoney.

Correct. Motta, Cambiasso, JZ, Muntari, Vieira and to a slightly lesser degree Stankovic are all mediocre midfielders and practically all share the same strengths and weaknesses. It does my fucking head in that our midfield is never reinforced with some attacking minded MF's... with the exception of Sneijder. In the ideal midfield, you play maybe one of those aforementioned players but not fucking 3 of them!

Yes, and even then you need better than any of them. No one of them is extra strong and fast enough to cover up the lack of ball control and technique. All our midfielders with the exception of Sneijder should be rotation players, not starters.

all of our current midfielders with the exception of sneijder should not play any position other than DMF, motta and cambiasso are too slow, vieira and muntari always give the ball away, stankovic loves long ball waaaaay too much and zanetti isn't even a midfielder!!!

Cuchu was great today when he came on. I cracked up laughing when he was still keeping the ball while on the ground.

I thought he was better than both Motta and Deki tbh...

Thiago Motta was fantastic vs. Rubin IMO. He made good passes in midfield and provide a nice link with Sneijder throughout the match.

Fact: You can't win CL playing with 3 Dm's, and thats what we have.
It's sad to see Inter linked with strikers like Toni, Aguero, Pandev, when we have only one attacking midfielder.

I agree here with you, we should look more for attacking midfielders, Sneijder isn't enough if we think to win CL, so in january I would like to see any great attacking midielder in our team, but I don't think we will buy any great midfielder in january.. we are strong linked with Pandev.

Pandev can play in that position, or that's what I've been told

inter needs more ball holding midfielders, confident with the ball at their feet and unable to be pressured off

he was definatly essential during the derby, he kept the midfield tight and unlike the past games when he wasn't available the midfield looked organized and there were no gaps to be exploited, i am not foolish enough t say that the change of formation didnt have to do nothing with this, but i really believe that cambiasso is also very important in our midfield, where a midfield without him especially with players we have no will always be venerable defensively

Next question
GRANDE CAMBIASSO!!! Watching him against "the player formerly known as Ronaldinho", Pirlo and the rest of the scum was fantastic!

Can't believe he still has doubters in his country for a spot in the national team
