He just slots into defence very well when Jonny and Campa are attacking.I think Mazzarri expects that from our DM and no other player in our team has such good positioning skills.

He was great today at tactically apt and also he gave that amazing pass to Palacio which Palacio should've done better with, in these past two games he's shut people up.

There was this one time when he almost forgot, or didn't see the ball that was returned to him tonight, because he was too busy explaining to someone where to stand. I mean we get it, but you're not the FUCKING coach you know? Keep your head on the pitch you jackass.

When he realized something was happening he just turned around, passed the ball and went back to explaining to the other player where to stand.

You saw that? :yao:

I really hate his sloppiness, and his constant mumbling and showing with hands. Traffic cop indeed.

And I hate his interceptions, God it's so annoying he ruins the flow of play for the other team...

That would so not be my choice.

We need a DM playing on top of our defense, specially for this game. Cuchu's fitness levels are improving, the heavy pre-season is starting to wear off. With his experience, and the fact that he is our only DM option at this moment, he plays a key role for us tomorrow. We NEED him to perform - without him, we will get steamrolled! Last thing we want is to have Pirlo, Vidal, Pogba, Asamoah cutting past our midfield like knife through butter. I want to see:

----------- Alvarez
Kova/Taider --------- Guarin
-----------Cambiasso

Cambiasso gets a lot of flak here, some of it deserved, but make no mistake - for this game, we need him.

Ahem-ahem (just clearing my throat :slick:)

I can't believe people are still picking on Cuchu... fuck the agenda for a bit, I thought Cambiasso played a vital role for us yesterday. Without all those interceptions, our defense would have got run over. Cuchu also distributed the ball well, kept it simple with a couple of great long passes.

His traffic-copping has so far helped us 3 clean sheets in a row and conceding 1 goal against juve.

Couldn't agree more. I think "traffic cop" is a compliment for Cuchu, he is starting to dictate the flow of traffic in the midfield. Last season, opposing teams used to walk past our midfield without any obstacles. Now they run into Cambiasso holding a "Stop right here" sign!

Nice game for the traffic cop. Was the perfect game to show his qualities, playing with 3-6-1
Now it's time to bench him and play with 2 forwards, the first one that will happy about this isn't me, but alvarez

Vigile urbano = traffic cop (gazzetta sportiva)

Cambiasso has an advantage in the states over Pirlo the so called world class rated 96 my ass in stupid video games in successful interceptions 5 times comparing to Pirlo 0 times, while he shares the same successful passes percentage with Pirlo in 85%.

So basically he did his job defending and was almost as effective as Pirlo in attack for our team in this game. I remmeber the long through pass he gave to Palacio which he headed it instead of trapping the ball and then shooting. this could have been easily a good goal assist.

I opposed the idea of Cambiasso becoming a regular and start doing some bench warming with a reduce wage in the beginning of the season, but that doesnt mean criticising him even when he did his job perfectly and with add-on bounce.

And now since I trust Mazzarri more, I think he sees something in the training about Cambiasso that we do not see, and considering his performance in the last 2 games and specially the juBe game, I think Mazzarri is making a point by keep starting him over and over.

Keep it up Cambiasso, respect!

Cambiasso is the man who stole the ball, won the possession and passed it to Alvarez before Alvarez passed to Guarin and then Alvarez stole from Chiellini and passed to Icardi for the goal. The credit went unnoticed.

honestly man, I just see cambiasso as an extra body in midfield, a "clogger". I think with Gustavo and Isla in our side we could have challenged for scudetto, because we're without Europe.

very good display against juventus. his positioning was top notch. made a few important interceptions. if he can keep this up, then i don't mind him starting every game. gotta give the legend some props.

Did you see how Isla played last night? He couldn't cope with Nagatomo..

One of the most intelligent players in the history of Italian football tbh.

Absolute shame his body and stamina can't keep up at this age.

Real Madrid were fucking idiots to let him go on a free transfer, but regardless, we NEED to find a long term replacement for him, considering that he's become VERY inconsistent.

This is exactly what I was saying before, that we play MUCH MUCH stronger when Cambiasso's on his game in the defensive midfield. Remember the November Juve win last year, the Tottenham thrashing, or even the last match?

It's because the traffic cop was fucking effective on those days.

Meh, I really don't understand what we can reproch to Cuchu regarding this game. Did follow Pirlo like his shadow, and except two long balls from the Italian genius (to Pogba and Vidal), he was limited in this game and even Conte did notice that his playmaker was bad.

He is a smart player no doubt, he is great at intercepting and has a great tactical awareness but it pisses me off how he can fuck up a simple pass...he just wants to get rid of the ball as fast as he can when he recieves it and that leads to a :palm: worthy move...also he is more interested in setting up our play than actually playing...retire and become a coach dude...he could and probably will be an awesome coach one day!

He's an OK supplementary player right now. If the rest of the team manages to keep the game relatively tight, then Cambiasso can rely more on his tactical skills than physical ones, but obviously we should still look to replace him from the first XI as there will be undoubtedly games where we will be more stretched. Hopefully Taider can take over this role eventually.
