**** YEAH!!!

Inter pair Esteban Cambiasso and Javier Zanetti played the whole match. Nicolas Burdisso and Hernan Crespo were not used by head coach Alfio Basile

EL CUHU IS FEELING GREAT LOL!

Actually Cambiasso was substituted in the 68th minute.

Played another big match. Had many good passes, especially in the first half and was also involved in the third goal. Not to mention he basicly shut down Fener's midfield together with Chivu. In my opinion he's by far our most important player in midfield atm.

Esteban dismisses Elkann claims

Inter star Esteban Cambiasso reacts angrily to Juventus patron Lapo Elkann’s declaration that the Nerazzurri didn’t earn their two “fake” Scudetti.

Elkann’s controversial comments were designed to strike a nerve in the Nerazzurri camp as Inter and Juve look set for a tense title race.

The Beneamata’s rivals regularly refer to the 2005-06 and 2006-07 Scudetti as “fake” as the former was awarded in the courtroom following the Calciopoli scandal and the latter was achieved with the Old Lady in Serie B and Milan facing a point penalty.

“Inter won the Scudetti – they belong to the Nerazzurri,” Cambiasso raged when asked to comment on Elkann’s accusations.

“Everyone here knows the history of the game and I think that the decisions that were made were just.”

This term Roberto Mancini’s men are facing a much sterner test compared to last season’s Scudetto procession.

“This year there are lots of sides that are chasing us and want to catch us,” Cambiasso continued.

“We know how difficult it is to balance European competition and the League as you can pay for the fatigue.

“Juventus don’t have this as they aren’t in Europe and they are just focusing their desire on the League.”

Inter take on Fiorentina in a huge clash this weekend at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Played time, from Gazzetta

10th JULIO CESAR (Inter) - 1,543 minutes
9 ° GIANLUIGI BUFFON (Juventus) - 1610 minutes
8 ° DANIELE DE ROSSI (Rome) - 1620 minutes
7 ° SEBASTIEN FREY (Fiorentina) - 1650 minutes
6 ° CLARENCE SEEDORF (Milan) - 1659 minutes
5 ° - KAKA '(Milan) - 1683 minutes
4° ESTEBAN CAMBIASSO (Inter) - 1696 minuti
3° - ANDREA BARZAGLI (Palermo) - 1740 minuti
2° - JAVIER ZANETTI (Inter) - 1756 minuti
1° - ANDREA PIRLO (Milan) - 1782 minuti

I am worried about this guy, because alot of players (deki, Zlatan, Maicon) gets rest before important matches, but our performances suffer greatly without El Cuchu, and he seems to be getting more and more injury prone because he is put on the field whenever he can walk.

Lets not forget JZ and Cambiasso had another national game during the summer break. We desperately need a backup for Cambiasso. More so after Viera seem to have become another Coco. I was hoping Pele could do it, but I guess not.

Reinforcing lacking position is important (AM, obviously) but keeping our players safe is just as important. Cambiasso seem to be the only player in our squad without any decent subs.

The thoughts of having world class players backing up world class players are fantastic, but they remain fiction and not possible in reality. Cuchu is a player that is unique, you don't find many like him. And when you have a player like him you are bound to fall in quality when you directly have to sub him. Like it or not, a team with a world class player in form (eg Zlatan) will most likely always suffer if this player hits an injury, suspension or a patch of bad form. This goes for every good player in a squad.

Cuchu is incredible and almost impossible to back up. We are fortunate to have him and let's hope he stays injury-free in the important matches this season.

Not that I'm looking for 30 men superstar squad, but Cuchu doesn't seem to have even a decent backup. Dacout is a DM and we know Deki prefers right side much more. Imagine what will happen if Viera ever returns and we go back to 4-3-1-2, Cuchu will never rest.

If I saw some of our youth CMs or Pele running from time to time, it would have relieved much more. However knowing Mancini, I'll have to wait at least until the Coppa games to see them.

I agree with you, but at this point Cambiasso is a very difficult player to replace/back up. Our way of playing will have to change without him, but I think we can do decent anyway. But it remains crystal clear that Inter w/o Cambiasso in a decisive CL encounter is severely weakened.

Cambiasso has really shown his true vision and passing in the last few games, with his beautiful long-through balls...

I.e. the One to Suazo in the Lazio game..giving him a clear run on goal. which lead to a goal!

Also in the game before this too!
I hope he keeps this level of his game up.

What are you saying benny? Stereotypes in Italy will say its Pirlo or something. It can not be an Argentine and it can not be a nerazzuri.

ala shaz or adnan :p ...but yes the focus is always off Esteban...maybe it was the profile as Pirllo can advertise more things in Italy...especially the feminine crap...Andreas Bath Balm with chamomile and velvet

i wont start on the hair range possibilities :p coz Pirlo loves his hair more than Totti...ridicilous shit always playing with it

Andrea Pirlo is an excellent player and has recently found his form, but make no mistake about it... if Cuchu continues to play the way he does and Milan struggles, he's got it locked.

Im not taking that away from him, he's a class player that comes once a while. But if he had 10 good games the whole season, scored a couple of winning free kicks, meanwhile, estaban has been picking us up for 3 years, guess who they will appreciate more?

Chuchu >>>> Pirlo anyday
Like Khalifa had said, 3 year consistently (only interrupted by injury last year i guess) perfomring at high level compare to couple of nice games and goals. I am not putting Pirlo down, he is still a good player and can be very useful in midfield. However, if it comes down to choosing between them... there is no doubt who is gonna win out

I honestly do not know how Pirlo gets so over-rated. Sure, you can post as much as you want about how he has those pin point passes or set-pieces but on the field, he's inconsistent and often goes invisible. Put it this way, Ancelotti considers him as the most influential player in his team, and how the fark has Milan fare over this past 2-3 seasons?

I'd pick Cuchu over that overrated f@ggot anyday of the week, twice on Sundays.
