You can't say CR7 played bad today, since he played too little... He was ok, he made fw good moves, almost scored a goal... If ypu hate him that's your problem, but don't say he was bad...

Yay Chelsea lol. I don't like that money-grubbing machine in West London but I definitely prefer them over Twat United.

Great game. Proof right there why its the most enjoyable league on the eyes.

Its still tough, but oh well. Didnt know what Fergie was doing with that line up, Carvhalo making a mistake? Sheva doing something good? it was on for young and old.

Very very nice to see the celebration after the first goal. That was heart felt stuff. RIP.

One, Patrice Evra, was reportedly the recipient of racial abuse just prior to the 24-man brawl, although neither United, Chelsea nor Evra have yet to confirm these allegations.

What must be he abused.

F***in French?

Tevez has come out and said that an insult to Evra is what instigated it

I'm really scared that this league will continue to dominate CL over the next few seasons. Look, since 2005, they have managed to have at least a club in the final.

2005 - Liverpool
2006 - Arsenal
2007 - Liverpool
2008 - Man Utd & Chelsea

You could say that it's all just hype and the Italians & Spaniards were once hyped too but the difference is these British do it consistently (For 4 years). They had a lot of participants in the semis too (Man Utd once, Chelsea twice). Also, the difference between EPL and Serie A/La Liga is that with the EPL, it feels like 'home.' I mean, it feels like they are the team that is supposed to be at the top and they are at the top right now. When it's Serie A/La Liga, those 2 leagues feel 'foreign' to most people.

I don't particularly like the media hoolabalooza of the EPL and their arrogance so let's hope I'm proven wrong.

Well next season, Spanish Liga doesn't look too threatening. Its upto Inter, Juve and Roma to do something in CL.

But I am sure this is just a cycle and their domination would not last more than 2-3 years more. Atleast I hope so.

Quoting the great Justin Timberlake: "What goes around comes around"

Its a cycle, look now they are playing defensively but the media doesnt bring that up. Their fans have lesser patience than the Italian fans. Next season they will not find it easy to repeat this.

In case any one missed this - another fully deserved award for the Portuguese winger.

Ronaldo wins writers' award

United winger becomes only second back-to-back winner of award

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has been voted Football Writers' Footballer of the Year.

Ronaldo, who also won the the PFA Player of the Year award this week becomes only the second player to win the award in successive seasons since its introduction 60 years ago.

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres and goalkeeper David James of Portsmouth finished second and third respectively in the poll organised by the Football Writers Association.

Ronaldo follows in the footsteps of former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, who is the only other man to win the award in successive seasons. Henry was a back-to-back winner in 2003 and 2004 and also won in 2006.
"Ronaldo's award is no surprise after his brilliant form this season," said FWA Chairman Paul Hetherington. "He did not exactly get 100% of the vote, but from the moment voting started he moved to the front and stayed there.

"To score 38 goals in a season - so far - is an astonishing feat for a player who is essentially a winger. Given his age, he has the potential and ability to dominate this award for years in an unprecedented way."

Ronaldo In Hairy Ferguson Bet
7/4/2007 6:10 AM
Ronaldo is set to bet his hair on scoring 20 Premiership goals.

The Manchester United winger won a £400 bet with Sir Alex Ferguson last season when he scored 17 Premiership goals, two more than the set target of 15.

However, the stakes are set to rise, with the Portuguese international set to now bet his hair - something he is very possessive about - on scoring 20 times in the Premiership.

The Sun report that he will tell Fergie: "I’ll shave my hair off if I don’t score 20 Premier League goals — you shave your hair off if I do."

They quote a Manchester United source on the supposed bet: "Ronaldo has been joking with pals he will be able to give the gaffer serious hairdryer treatment.

"Ronny is really confident. He spends a lot of time on his hair so wouldn’t put it at risk lightly."

Ronaldo, 22, was voted the PFA Player of the Year last season after a stunning campaign that inspired the Red Devils to title glory.

Arrogant prick. :howler: By next season, it won't be rocket science that most of his goals came when he cuts in from the left. I doubt he'll be in the same great form next season. I'll shave my hair if he even manage to score 15.

im locking that promise in han, considering your psychic football powers in the past :lick:

here is my promise,

if CR scores 20 or more goals next season im gonna shave my balls,

Time to get the razors out boys as he has now scored 30 league goals :D:D:D
