Everton about to get handed a 12 point deduction for some sort of financial misconduct. First time they'll get relegated. They could have been one of the top English clubs (they are but not to the modern observer) if their 90s progression was aligned with how other clubs went by. From contenders they've become just a team that's been around and gave Liverpool trouble in their in between games.
Probably not for long now. This is a club that spent only 5 seasons away from the top tier and the last time they weren't at the top flight was in 1955. 70 years later, they'll find themselves in 2nd tier football once again, maybe even lower if the punishment is harsh enough.
P.S: And Manchester City is allowed by both PL and UEFA to roam freely.
