Does Raiola have some nude pics of MU execs? 3 of his main clients play in Utd now.

Like I said, many will be surprised this season. Van Gaal's tactic means CB had to track striker even if striker dropped to midfield which means leaving the gap in defense. Jose addressed this straight away already.

Are you sure he doesn't need a whole year and 20 more players to solve this problem?

Raiola have good relationship with Jose. Also Woodward is not bothered about paying agents, which we didn't in the past so lost players like Hazard.

Jose said he wanted 4 core players and Woodward signed them.

If only we had Van Gaal :nervous:

I want to join the game, but I reserve the right to change my predictions when the transfer session is closed.

1. Man utd. A good team + mourinho + pogba + Ibra. They have what it takes to win the most important matches, i.d. those against the many weaker teams.

2. Chelsea. Conte he is a juventino and I don't like to praise him at all, but I think he'll make a difference.

3. Man city. Champions league will take away a lot of strength from them.

4. Arsenal. Wenger will deliver the usual. He is used to handle both the league and the champions league (from which he will get kicked out soon anyway).

5. Liverpool. Even though klopp is a very good coach, I don't think Liverpool can do better than fifth this year with those players.

6. Tottenham. They don't have enough quality players for both champions league and EPL and are not used to play both competitions.

7. West ham. Good team, not as good as the bigger ones, but still solid.

8. Leicester. Same as Tottenham, plus every single team in the league will play against them with a different attitude than in the last season.

I hope Bailly gets opportunities because he is a beast of a defender. He was a monster @ villareal.

Very impressive debut for him. He was rated as man of the match on redcafe and he was way ahead of 2nd position player.

This EPL season is simply too enticing. Man Utd with stellar reinforcements and a reinvigorated (perhaps?) Mou, Man City with ultra highly rated Pep and the best squad on paper, Liverpool with fiery Klopp and a team that will sooner or later play like a well-oiled machine, Arsenal the usual, Tottenham with Pochettino and Chelsea with Conte and a team that is aiming to bounce back from a disastrous season with pizzazz.

Personally I'd like to see the Manchester teams and Liverpool make the CL - I am a big fan of Klopp and Mou (not quite Pep, think he's overrated, but he's got enough to secure CL at least). I used to like Chelsea until I saw what a backstabbing bitch the players could be and Tottenham just doesn't seem convincing enough. Arsenal...... they lose 8-2 to ManU and still make top 4 so they're going to sneak in somehow. Sorry Leicester you've had your moment but now it's time to return to normality.

Serie A's become a one-horse race, I'll watch Inter games but I'd rather watch PL games than other non-Inter Serie A matches.

Why are people saying City have the best squad? That is not as evident as you guys show it to be.

I'm kind of getting the feeling that Man utd are gonna shit the bed again. Mourinho was a locker room disaster at Chelsea, and he's already having some problems with Man U (the whole Schweini thing). Also Man U bought crazy amounts all of these past transfer windows and were still sandbagging super hard. Pogba was a class purchase, and so was Mkhit, but I don't rate the remainder of the squad from last season that highly. Plus Ibra's age is gonna catch up with him at some point. He's been good in friendlies but I don't think he was great for Sweden at all (missed a lot of easy chances)

Or maybe I'm just being a delusional optimist (as always) and just hope that a team like Man U won't win things simply buy buying everything they can 2 seasons straight. It disgusts me to see a team play so poorly for such a long time and still be relevant simply because they have absolutely ridiculous amounts of money

I think the assumption is that Guardiola will carry them. Plus their squad has always been good (although I don't think it's best), and sometimes good is all you need for a great manager to get results.

Why? We make money and we spend it. Better to spend it to improve the team rather than improve owner's bank balance.

Also ManUtd is not funded by sugar daddy like City/Chelsea or bailed by National Govt like Madrid. Club work hard on marketing and spend the earned money.

Also ManUtd didn't spend as much as they should have when Fergie was there.

Btw, what's disgusting is a nothing club like few who are only relevant because some rich owner was all of a sudden interested in playing football manager irl.

16/17 you guys have spent 200mil €
15/16 50mil (150-100)
14/15 150mil (200-50)
(These are all the difference between departure vs arrival, source transfermarkt)

I'm just saying that it is a little irksome to me that a team that hasn't been getting any significant results since ferguson era can keep spending so much. Clearly our perspectives are different as I'm not a big United fan, but maybe you can see why it might be frustrating to see a team persevere simply through being a big famous club even when they are sandbagging

I'm more ranting about the fact that ALL big clubs have this near imperviousness to them (in fact I hate those moneybags clubs as much as you do). Seeing Leicester win was a breath of fresh air to me.

Yeah Leicester winning was amazing but regarding United, it's not just throwing money out of nowhere. We can because of the continuous improvement and hard work done for last 25 years. We planned better and way ahead of anyone.

Just check what percentage of revenue we spent on transfers and compare it with maybe inter who haven't been great since 2010.

Also the reason we are spending big is, we have changed whole squad after Fergie's retirement and Moyes season. So so many players transition means you have to spend big.

I don't know. If spending money is wrong then at least spending hard earned money is much better than the money of some rich owner.

Well, at the end of the day, those rich people have never done and never will do any good things for us "mortals". Except when they splash big cash for football clubs (or other kind of clubs in the u.s.), so why not? It is the only good thing they'll ever do in their life.

4) Man U - Squad still doesn't impress me. Defense is a disgrace, midfield is exceptionally average (though curious to see how Pogba changes that). Zlatan hasn't faced real domestic competition in 4 years, so he might struggle to play well over the course of a long season.

but they have the best goalkeeper in the league, and had one of the best defensive records last year too. plus luke shaw is quality and he was injured for the whole of last season, whilst smalling and blind are both underrated. in terms of attacking players how many teams can really boast as many quality players as they can? pogba, rooney, mkhitaryan, martial, zlatan, rashford, mata. hard not to be impressed with that squad with other quality players like herrera, carrick, schneiderlin, valencia, bailly looking good, lingard.

Hull scored against Leicester. Looks like 2 players scored a bicycle kick, 2 players made contact with the ball.

- - - Updated - - -

If you are not watching Hull Vs Leicester then you are missing some game.

Hull have only 13 senior players who are fit enough for this game and they have only 2 coaches to take care of everything. They are leading 2-1.

Leicester got lucky penalty, foul was outside the box.

Hull is playing really, really well. I guess years in ManU system under SAF teaches you something.
