Look who is leading the scoring charts:

serie_10.jpg
Not only that, he's currently also leading the goals + assists chart for Europe's top 5 leagues with 7 total.

My only complaint was we missed a trick to sub Medel and one of the fullbacks earlier. Medel, Santon, Dambro have played a huge chunk of our mins so far and we could have given Melo, Miangue and maybe even Gabigol mins here. Remember, we have Prague looming again next week and they will all surely play in that match, barring Gabigol

my first post here,
good attack from right side but invicible in left side (maybe because kondogbia not effective?).
and dimarco look solid for me although the first goal from his side.

is it okay to post full match link here?

Good job Provenzano. I think Wobblz broke the Bulgarian curse.

Boring when we are leading comfortably vs Boring when we are losing 1-0 and have no passion to overcome the deficit whatsoever.

I noticed that in the first half Empoli were playing a bit higher up the pitch. That's very unusual for a smaller team. As we all know, smaller teams in Serie A usually park the bus. Second half they played closer to their goal and that's when we started having problems.

Clearly, we have trouble dealing with packed defenses. This is slightly worrisome to me and I hope FDB manages to take care of it as soon as possible.

Well to be fair.. the second half inter didnt push as much as the first half. There wasnt urgency as much as first half and more about defending the lead.

yeah, second half with a 2-0 lead it would have been silly to go chasing another goal. no point in pressing high, save energy and lower the tempo.

No Milan player
Win and didn't concede. Good first half, second half was rubbish.

Handanovic: Did his job, saved us at some occassions
D'Ambrosio:Worst player on the pitch
Murillo:Stupid yellow card, other than that, flawless game
Miranda:Good game
Santon:Decent performance, but at the end he either looked constipated or injured
Medel:we need a better DM, so we can push him to be the back up in the defense.
Kdog:Decent, but needs a lot of work
J.Mario:Boy got brains, but needed Banega next to him
Candreva:Decent first half, shitty second half
Perisic:Didn't do much
Icardi:in lethal form

Subs

Goku:Nothing special
Eder:Dat boobshot tho
Melo:Why no Barbosa?

De Boer: Decent game, first half was good, second was bad. Still need to work on where to fit Kdog, who to use as DM and get up the fitness level. Other than that, good game Frank!

MOTM

Icardi

Mario, Handa, Miranda

Janilo M'ambrosio

You really thought Murillo and Miranda were "flawless" and "good game" ? I thought they were crap to be honest, looked constantly unstable and I remember at least a couple of bad mistakes.

The only reason we didn't concede in this game, espcially with how crap we played in the second half, is that Empoli is a serie B team with a complete joke of an offence.

I think we didn't press because we couldn't, not because we didn't want to. As far as I understand, FDB's philosophy is to always press hard, contain the opponent in their own half and prevent starting a play.

We would have to question FDB if he didn't push the brake in the second half though. The team will play every 3 days for 2 weeks and Roma is in the end of the streak. What's the point of pushing the players beyond to win more goals? We just came out of the most demanding juventus match. The last thing we need is Icardi, Perisic and Candreva to get injured especially with Empoli wasn't being a threat or Miranda and Murillo to get red card in expense of our high defensive line. Our team is so thin that any injuries or dismissal may screw up our journey. We simply didn't push further since 46' and the introduction of Gnoukouri and Melo showed how we were comfortable with 2-0 lead.
