Roma have reportedly agreed to sell Edin Dzeko to Inter in exchange for €10m cash plus youth team striker Edoardo Vergani.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs are close to finally working out the details of this transfer, giving Antonio Conte the centre-forward he has been pushing for.

Vergani is an 18-year-old striker who had been proposed to Sassuolo as part of the €25m deal for midfielder Stefano Sensi.

Instead, it’s suggested Sassuolo will accept a different Inter youth team player – 19-year-old centre-forward Andrea Adorante – in that particular transfer.

No I just value them a lot more highly than declining retiring players.

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over losing Vergani. We have many talented forwards. I think Zaniolo hurt more because it's a position where we've had morons playing for a while now

Yeah there is always ifs and buts with these type of deals, but I would say its worth the risk if that di marzio reported deal is true. There is no way you could find player with dzeko quality with that money, or even if you invested it in some kind of younger player the risk would be even bigger than the potential risks you mentioned regarding dzeko.

This is an okay deal. Not too much money involved and we will make some plusvalenza (love that word haha) by selling Vergani. Meaning we pay maybe 15m€ in cash and they pay 5m€ for Vergani.
