It’s the right move for him personally imo. He’s 37, take a few years of guaranteed income and play in a league that you can probably still be dominant. Class is permanent and he does have that probably more than Lautaro or Lukaku, however he can’t play 2,500+ minutes a season at this level anymore. Not fair to him or the team tbh.
It's great financial package for him. Still wondering why is he after the money, he's made a lot of money in his past 3 clubs (City, Roma, Inter). I would have expected him to agree lower deal with Inter and go and hunt his first Scudetto.

Maybe he got tired of dealing with the pressure of playing at this level. That's the normal thing many footballers experience at this age. He's 37 after all and keeping yourself ready for this level of football is very demanding and wear you off at one point.

Yeah that's a valid take. Turkish league is lower level but dunno how much lower it is that you would be able to actually slack. I'm sure there's pressure at Turkish league aswell. :D

The dumbest part is agent fee for 5 M. That is Dzeko's annual salary and 1/3 of the total operation for signing the out of contract grandpa. Fener president must have a kebab in his head instead of brain.
The agent fee issue has been the number 1 problem of Turkish football for the last 2 decades. Football agents trolling Turkish clubs that can spend a lot of money when any famous footballer becomes a free agent.

They tell them ''hey ! we're able to bring x to your club ,he's a free agent. but...he is on the radar of many big clubs, you have to hurry. If you give us the commission we want, we get rid of the others''

at the end of the story stupid Turkish clubs like Beşiktaş ,Fenerbahçe ,Galatasaray ,Trabzonspor feel like they did a great job while they get buttfucked !

According to Sky, there's still no agreement between Fener and Dzeko. Talks will continue in the following days.

At this point i am fairly convinced Dzeko is just using Turks to bait Marotta. I hope Beppe doesn't do anything stupid.

hope he leaves so we can free up those wages. He has been great but we can't drop that money on a 37 year old with 0 upside for 2 seasons when we are broke. The numbers being mentioned are insane. It almost felt like the agent threatening us to make a 4m a season offer. We get a discount and not have to pay a agent fee

Dzeko has been fundamental in our success over the past couple of years. He's had his ups and downs but in overall he's had incredible impact in our game, so I think he deserves nothing but a great respect.
Agree. But many people here keep insulting him like he is Gags level. He doesnt deserve that. He was overall good for us. Wish him all the best and good luck.
