Why does everyone hate Domenico Morfeo ?

Domenico Morfeo : Inter-fan's favorite hate figure !!!

I am listing all i know about him :

1. He is Italian.
2. He came on a free transfer in 2002.
3. He is an attacking midfielder.
4. He played for us when Cuper was d coach.
5. He was played out of position by Cuper.
6. He was deemed a failure.
7. He was loaned to Parma in xchange for Lamouchi in 2003.
8. He i loan 2 Parma has ended , we own his contract.
9. Last season he was brilliant assisting Gilardino.

Yes he was not a great success story ... but there are much worse examples.

Currently we need a 5th striker and nobody seems to be interested in him

On d contrary , everyone i have interacted with in this forum seems to have an allergetic reaction to his name

I don't hate Morfeo, but I definitely don't want him to be back in Inter and Morefeo agrees with him as well.

He has been very clear by saying that he doesn't want to be a bench warmer anymore. Morfeo won't get a a starting place in Inter and him to be our 5th striker ?? No, it's not gonna happen. That's what I think so.

He should stay in Parma, which is still possible or other small teams where he can start.

2 years ago....It was 0:1 for Roma 1st half...Then Vieri scored after dribbling Aldair....Then Recoba scored after fabulous Roma-box slalom...And 3:1 Emre,shoot from 16m...And than Morfeo got in instead of Recoba I think and Roma score 3:2 goal..4 minutes later Morfeo got the ball in our half,LOST IT and Roma made a counter-attack in which Montella scored for 3:3...At the end I think that Batistuta(then playing for Inter) had a great chance,but failed..

Morfeo was just one of the many less than splendid figures we've seen in the last handful of years. Could anybody forget the Portuguese compass? Whenever we were attacking the north, he would face the South and vice versa.

Anyway, i've never really hated Morfeo. I just didn't care much about him.

But it was 100% his fault. He did an unforgivable and unforgettable error. The equalising goal was his fault and no one elses.

Now, here's the catch. We were leading either 3-2 at that time and the match was less than 10 minutes from being over. If you are a left midfielder and you received the ball inside your own half, what do you do? Make sure that you don't give the ball away, of course. It's just the most sensical thing to do. But no! Morfeo dilly-dally-ed, razzle-dazzled, Harry-Potter-ed but he utterly failed. Roma got the ball, the midfield, who were preparing to launch a counter-attack, were caught off guard and Montella's brilliance punished us.

To be honest, it is unfair to blame a player over a separated incident, but Morfeo did this constantly! It didn't necessarily led to us conceding a goal but it did cost us several counter-attack opportunities.

I used to, kid I went to school with was obssessed with him for some reason. He is the most annoying kid ever met in my life. Now is a bilan fan was an Inter fan thats how bad he was.

Morfeo had potential but no more than a Cruz status player.

Bringing Morfeo back as our 5th striker is the WORST idea I have ever heard. Sorry Sayak, but it would be better we sign Pele from out of retirement and give him a shirt at age 50-60 then to bring Morfeo back. Heck, I would rather see Maradona on our team then Morfeo.
