Just to backup my previous thought.

Courtois;
Juanfran, Alderweireld, Miranda, Filipe;
Mario, Gabi
Raul Garcia, Koke, Diego;
Villa.

You see, they lay 4-2-3-1, however Koke goes back, and will be often on the wing. Raul Garcia is natural CM/AM, and he is a RW on paper, Diego is pure AM, but again, a winger here. All those three will rotate their position, no one will have fixed one, and Filipe and Juanfran will be the ones that will bring the primary width on the pitch.

Yeah but teams usually play CM/AMs on the wing to dominate possession. Barca has done it with Fabregas, Iniesta on several occasions, Juve did it against Real Madrid.

I don't understand the point of that if you're not a possession based team.

I`d love to see Kova in that position. It`s one of those weird positions I think he`d do best in, like JJ as the left CB in a back 3.

Well, Raul is goalscoring midfielder, so he runs in the box and scores. Arda/Koke are creative ones, so they go in the middle and try trough passes/low crosses. It works very well so far.

How is it a "weird" position for Juan when he's naturally a ball playing left footed LCB/LB?

I remember Brazil using this formation in 06. Looks like 4 - 2 - 2 - 2. Since they failed horribly with Ronaldinho, Kaka, Ronaldo, Adriano, etc... I never thought it could work properly.

Pellegrini's been using 4-2-2-2 successfully for years with Villareal, so surely that was a conclusion based off limited information.

No formation doesn't work properly. It depends on the tactics employed WITHIN the formation (eg. Ranieri's 4-4-2 vs Simeone/Pellegrini's 4-4-2)

Thohir break your bank.

With the right amount of $$$ you can get anyone, but sentiments may be deciding factor for us.

An Argentine coach praised for his defensive organization who came over from La Liga to make Inter a great team.

Sounds familiar

Luis Suarez ---> Kovacic :D

Not even WM's wife is satisfied with WM, let alone Thohir.

Hmm if it's offensive to anyone it can change it, no? In fact I didn't even think about nazis, I just split up the team name into syllables :) and not even correct ones at that lol

I have no power here, despite my large number of awards and awesome banner. Just commenting. I'm sure if it is an issue, the mods will get in touch.
