Please sub in Darmian for him. He's totaly out of the game. Always late, one meter away from where he needs to be, misses all his touches, let Pavard do the dirty work alone on the right side...

As much as he's frustrating with all these wrong decisions up front, he is still doing very well. He is making us look less predictable because not everything goes through Dimarco. He contributes a lot as well, but his technical ability is inferior to Dimarco, but he's got some attributes that give him an edge over Dima though.

I appreciate his efforts. As for now, nobody could take his place in the line-up, but he needs to work on finishing, like big time.

He's a warrior and has adjusted pretty well tactically these days. I remember him being a liability in defensive aspect. He let so much space, used to get exposed like hell but there is an improvement in this area.

He's doing very well, but with a better finishing he would be deadly.

For a player that hasn't costed Steven both kidneys, Dumfries has done very well lately. His technical attribute is nothing to write home about. But his tenacity and body strength make up for his shortcomings. Dumfries is always able to get himself into the box. If he could improve his finishing, he'd be immense for us.

Guy is a fighter, give him that. Great break for the assist to Thuram, probably if he didn't fuck up 2 easy chances (plus the first tough one) he'd go for another bad decision and shoot it. And miss.

It's all a process with Dumfries. Reminds me of Lukaku in that regard, he's way too frustrating and fucks things up but eventually he'll do something good. Only difference was that with Lukaku his good was exaggerated, even if it wasn't critical, yet with Dumfries we generally emphasize on the negative.

He's no Hakimi. He's no Cancelo either. But he's our Dumfries!

I'd appreciate if he goes back to being a threat in opponent's box from aerial duels. He is a good header, so I think he was quite a threat in earlier period from these far post jumps. Dunno if it's a tactical approach these days but he doesn't get himself involved like he used to.
It is funny how the gameplan was attempting to let him do that today, and he mishit all the headers LOL, I support Dumfries, but the timing is funny.

Gives it his all every match, just wish he'd go on run with scoring goals occasionally, nice assist though.

I'll need to see the replay, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that header that Thuram might have put him off. I believe he scored that exact goal against Fiorentina two seasons ago and he usually gets those on target (scored a nice header against Roma too).

He's a lot better at these cut-backs than when actually crossing the ball. He had a similar one for Lautaro last season against Lecce, and I believe two assists in the World Cup match against U.S.A that were similar.

The one I would blame him on was his cross in the beginning of the game. He had Barella and I believe Lautaro/Mkhi making a run but he totally overhit the cross.

Actually Love the Yellow he gets today, like that mentality.

Thuram being there probably interfered a perfect execution of the header.

In general, Dumfries needs to learn to pick the correct cross, low cut-back or aerial one close to the goal and then middle or far-post. If he gets those correct with better consistency, he's gonna be money. He's pretty good already but wastes so much of these opportunities with wrong endball decisions.

for me he is almost perfect wingback. Runs like crazy from one penalty area to another. Always present in the offensive part of the game and always supports the defenders. He is very strong and bullies his opponents. He covers in his pocket Theo in every derby game, recently he perfectly bodied Bradaric from Salernitana which led to our second goal.
Finally he improved his crossing and he has great stats at the beginning of the season.

He is underrated player and people do not rate him because of his clumsiness with the ball, but forget about some very important factors like stamina, strength, injury-prone, game involvement, commitment.

Credits also to Inzaghi, because he developed Dumfries a lot in recent seasons. He was totally lost at the beginning of his adventure in Inter.

I feel that the more options there are, the worst he executes. If you look at the chance in the first 5 minutes, where Barella/Lautaro/Mkhi were all making a run and we outnumbered them, it seems that he did not know which option to pick out, and just did an overhit cross. I feel if he focuses on one player's run, he can do better although mostly low crosses or cutbacks. He's generally very poor on high crosses.

People do not rate him cuz he is the successor of Hakimi. If he replaced Cuntdreva directly, few would complain.

I like Dumfries when he is motivated and plays with passion. Which he has been doing this season. Even in our only loss so far, Dumfries has been the rare speck of light in the darkness of mediocrity.

Last season he was infuriating in attack, so many wrong passes and crosses. He got better in covering spaces and tackling though, which was remarked at the end of the season.

He isn't the most technical, he isn't a tricky player, but he is hardworking and runs his ass off. Him being a captain for PSV at 23, 24 is also impressive. Says a lot about him.

I love this guy. He is a proof that you can be talentless but with hard work and big heart you can succeed in a big club like Inter.

I don't know what do you mean by talentless? He can pass the ball, that is already more talent than Schelotto. He knows how to tackle, that is talent enough. Granted he doesn't have the ball control of a Zanetti or the technique of a Perišić, but I'm sure he deserves a bit more respect than being called talentless.

Football is not for people with no talent and no understanding for the game. Dumfries has that in spades.

On the other hand Dumfries is the definition of: Hard work beats talent, when talent refuse to work hard. The guy was on amateur level when he was 18 years old. Was told he wasn’t good enough for Sparta, not good enough for Heerenveen, not good enough for PSV and shouldn’t be an option for the Dutch NT. He’s currently for the third year in a row a regular starter for Inter, played a CL-final and named the most important player of the Dutch NT the last couple of months.

He for sure isn’t the most gifted talent wise, but man, what a persuasiveness this guy has. Immense respect for Dumbfries imo.
