I'm gonna push you on this because I think De Vrij's resurgence helped us a lot. How many goals have we conceded with De Vrij on the pitch? He isn't at his best, but he is clearly a lot better than last 2 seasons and I would call that a decisive improvement for us.

We've conceided 2 goals but it's not like we conceide many goals anyways both in UCL and in Serie A. Also De Vrij is not a clear starter.
Dumfries has been nothing short of amazing since the UCL semi finals imo, showing the best form he's ever shown since joining the club.

That I do agree. I'm just saying, I would add De Vrij next to Dumfries, Hakan and Lautaro as the players in best form right now. I think he deserves it. Lots of others are good too, like Pavard, Thuram, Mkhitaryan, C.A., Darmian,..

Well he's improved a lot tactically in defensive aspect, but he's still a loophole which gets too obvious in such games.

It's not like gobbi has attacked a lot. Their game was based on a defensive approach, but yet again he was caught off guard against either Chiesa or Kostic.

I'm not making a big deal out of it, since Chiesa is very tricky and tough to mark, but Dumfries' decision making either on ball possession or positioning has been terrible. One of the biggest reasons that we couldn't perform our usual game.

Yep, this is a crucial part here, even darmian looks more fluid when he plays that position.

He isn't useless imo, especially against smaller teams that can't deal with his physicality, but he just can't be a first option in a team with our ambitions. He would be acceptable as an impact sub though.

He's definitely our biggest weakness on the ball. Him and Acerbi today made it so difficult to play fluid. I know Bastoni has had some criticism on some of his defending this season, but the guy is so consistent and important in our attacking game and I think that was obvious today.

With Dumfries, you really do see his limitations in the biggest games - weakness on the ball and decision making. We saw it in the CL final as well. That position is definitely one that we can improve on. It's a shame both Augusto and Dimarco are LWBs - we need to find a RWB that is good on the ball, given Cuadardo is old and a short-term solution.

Inzaghi confessed Dumfries was not at his best coming back from the NT break.

It's a bit tough for us in the right flank as Pavard is out for a long time, Dumfries struggling with over usage and Cuadrado still not 100% as Inzaghi also confessed Cuadrado played through some pain and thanked him for that. So I'm going to give it a pass to Dumfries, he probably played the most he could (and obviously wasn't at his A game).

He has blame for the goal, but SDV had too. There was only two options available for Chiesa to pass, and the other player was covered. De Vrij was too far away from Vlahovic.

I would blame Hakan and Mikhi that were jogging behind Vlahovic as if we were leading 3-0 and it was 89th minute.

Juve’s goal exposes his awareness, not only losing ball in the middle but also failed to track back and cover Vlahovic for Barella who was rushed to fill the hole for him on right side and supported Darmian. Instead he ran towards Chiesa despite Darmian and Barella were there already. Of course Mkhi and Hakan haven’t been back quickly from transition. Thankfully he had key contribution in our goal.
