Lol come on, so that means we have to keep an out of form player playing in first 11 even if it means he's going to suck? We waited Stankovic to get back on form for almost 2 years, and people do have their reasons for criticizing Stankovic's performance on the field, and questioning Mancini's persistency in choosing Stankovic for every game in which he sucked.

In that case, since Adriano's case is much too similar to Stankovic's, then we might as well play Adriano over Crespo/Cruz for the future 2 years, regardless how badly he performs EVERY game.

The word - "hate" wouldn't go well in this context. ;)

There is every right for all the fans to criticize a player if they think that the player is not performing well.:)

I have criticized Stankovic alot, especially last season when he was indeed out of form. But now, it's a different case and we are getting to see the Stankovic we used to see when he had just joined us. He's always been a hard working player but presently it's paying off as well as he's doing it in a proper manner and has been able to help the team very well. Thus, now I am very happy with his performances. But I hope that he doesn't get carried away but instead get boosted with his recent performance and atleast continue till the Scudetto is confirmed.:D

On top of that, his goals are just bonus for him and the team. I hope he continue on scoring. Just imagine having Cambiasso back in the team (he's already in the squad list for Spartak game, which would mean that very soon, we will have him in the starting line up), with all the due respect to Dacourt.

With in-form Stankovic -- Cambiasso -- Vieira (??), we'll able to form a dynamic midfield this season as well as next season. All we need is a play-maker and we would just be perfect (long-term plan, thus Figo's not there).

Stankovic definitely deserves a pat on his back for his recent performances.:star:

We don't need a playmaker. Look at our results this season, without playmakers :)

Crespo, Figo, I
obviously, stankovic at his natural position brings the best out of him...

without Veron and Pizzaro, stankovic can stick as CM...
the fact he wasn't complaining being out of position.. and give and OK performance makes me respect him a lot....

I think I'm considered as a 'Stankovic hater'....but read my post in the game thread, I said this is the Stankovic I like, not because he scored and we won, but because he's showing his attacking abilities, which is what I was asking for rather than his defensive skills.
Still, I don't take back my comments that he should've been dropped last year, but now he's immortalized.

To say Deki was shit for 2 years is plain ridicilous. He was fantastic at the start of the Mancini's first season here. Then he had his off days, but during the last season he started going better and better and now he is simply fantastic. I've told it thousand times and I tell it once again. Probably the only reason why Mancini kept him playing during his bad patches was because Stankovic can change games and do some wonderful stuff which neither of our other midfieldres couldn't (& can't do).

The point is not whether Deki is useless or useful, the point is where he is played.

Deki on the leftwing is an absolute shocker, simply because he can't play there.

His best games for Inter have always been either in a central role or on the right side, and given that Figo is not really in better form than Deki now, Deki should play there and Grosso/Solari on the left.

But that game last night...damn..that was greatest school of Yugo football I have seen in a while. Shoot, pass, Slam!

Deki is back in form... And I think he will maintain this form unless Mancini fuks everything... I mean, if Mancini puts him as left wing again... We all realize that Deki is CM or RM, but not LM. Only Mancini can't see that... And when Cambi returns, Deki will be back on the left, and he will loose his form. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm just a pessimist, but still...

EDIT: Mehdi was faster than me in this...

he had his days off? LOL Let me re-phrase that for you. He had his months off! ;)
During a 4-5 months period Deki’s display on the pitch was disastrous.
The guy only made our numbers up, yet Mancini kept playing him week in week out.

He is playing great now, and credit to him for the effort he puts in. But to come here and praise him for his contribution our previous season is utter nonsense. Perhaps only his mum, Mancini and this Benny guy would agree with that.

I don't take anything back and I am proud of my earlier words too.

Let's not enter into useless arguments now, Stan is playing well as of late and I hope that continues.

Every fan has the right to criticize a player when the player isn't playing well, hindsight is always 20/20!

Perhaps we won't see him back at LM. My hope is that we try to favour 4-3-1-2 instead of 4-4-2. This will also give us options like playing in-form Dacourt and/or Solari more as well. Realizing the lack of quality pure wingers in our squad, I think a 4-3-1-2 would pay us back in leaps, but we'll see. Whatever happens, Mancini will have to make some seemingly tough choices in the future.

You have no knowledge about wingers worldwide? I'm not sure if I understand your question and its relevance to this discussion. Sorry.

As for Inter, neither Figo nor Solari are pure wingers, although I might get some raised eyebrows on the latter. Maxwell's a left back and clearly doesn't have the quality needed either. Mariano? Give me a break.

lol i love how people responded to my post, lol i find it funny people posting about how they"have the right" or whatever crap they can pull out.

Stankovic in his 2 years always give his best, regardless if he played well or not, even if he had his off days he would still work his ass of try to defend, what do you mean he played like crap for 2 years?no he didnt,he had his off days but for the most part i think he always did well.

People now say he is doing well and playing "well","well",what do you guys mean by well, come on,you critisice the hell out of him when he plays some bad matches and when he is the best inter player up until now(i also hope he continues to do EXCELLENTLY) you guys say he plays "well",come on.

Also my post was more of a joke post, lol, did i really hit tha big of a nerve with that post?

Stan wants Inter extension

Inter have been told to start contract talks with Dejan Stankovic or risk losing him to another club.

The Serbian’s present deal expires in June 2008 and he is yet to renew his agreement with the San Siro side.

Although the ex-Red Star sensation has impressed so far this term, the reported Real Madrid target hasn’t been asked to start negotiations over an extension.

“It wouldn’t be difficult for us to find another club – if we were forced to do so,” warned the player’s agent Vinicio Fioranelli.

It’s understood that the two parties did have a meeting scheduled, but that has since been postponed by the club.

The 28-year-old, who is highly considered by Real Coach Fabio Capello and sporting director Predrag Mijatovic, has reiterated his intention to remain at Inter.

Real Madrid, however, are not the only major European club interested in Stankovic seeing as Juventus, Barcelona and Manchester United are monitoring his situation.

Stankovic joined the Nerazzurri in January 2004, for a minimal fee, after five seasons in the capital with Lazio.
